First up is the Plaza de las Americas, with the monument on its center that gives its name to the country, "El Salvador del Mundo," and the Alameda Roosevelt. You will also visit the Plaza Barrios, which is in front of the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral of San Salvador and the graceful National Palace, two monuments of great historical influence. To conclude, we will visit the National Theater which was build in a neoclassical style, which reminds us of the great European theaters.
We will then visit the rock formation known as La Puerta del Diablo. From there, we will enjoy a beautiful view of San Vicente Volcano and Ilopango Lake. Afterwards, we'll head to the village of Panchimalco. We will visit the Church of La Santa Cruz, built in the colonial architectural style and the Gallery of Miguel Angel, a Salvadorean who captured the characteristic, features and innocence of the villagers through his paintings.
