It was fifth time in Madrid and in the Prado and it never disappoints. This time was very special since I hosted my son, his wife, and the two granddaughters, ages 12 and 13, who live in Granada. My son met his wife in Madrid and just before their first daughter was born they moved to Cadiz. They had only passed through the airport in the past years and this reunion and the tour of all the galleries was very special. My granddaughters stayed with me for the tour and I had a of all the important artists we wanted to see. Goya, Velasquez, Ribera, Ruebens and on and on. The Bosch exhibit was particularly fascinating and as a retired teacher, it was so fantastic to "teach" the museum to my young granddaughters. The map and layout was easy to follow and we found all the important works on my list, easily. I highly recommend this gallery as a "must-see" on Madrid!

The museum represents an intersection of spaces, objects and times: a place where narratives are woven together and stories told, rendering every intersection meaningful as it leads off in one direction or another, turning it into an intense experience of discovery and knowledge. This is why everything that is exhibited, in all its strangeness, all its questions, has to actually touch the visitor’s everyday reality, bringing about a genuine learning experience. The Museo Reina Sofia’s presentation of its collection posits a multi-narrative journey, which adopts a definite standpoint and not only keeps the mystery inherent in art alive, but also strengthens resistance towards the single, fixed reading. Traditional genres coexist side by side with photography, film, sound and dance. With your full-day ticket, you will have access to more than 21,000 works currently on display in the mai...

What people are saying about Community of Madrid

The palace is absolutely stunning and a definite "must-do" if you're in Madrid. The wall decor, art work + artifacts are beyond description + every ceiling so beautifully painted. Definitely one that must be done. Unfortunately the gardens which are said to be beautiful, were closed.

This show was great! We thought we would have to meet with other people from the group who also purchased a ticket, but when we arrived our name was on the list and we were shown to our table by the host. We did the one drink option and received a glass of wine.

The performance was memorizing. We had to kids and they loved every moment. The food was ok. My kids did not care for it. Adults felt it needed more seasoning.

An excellent show, would highly recommend going to see, definitely worth the money.

It was absolutely fantastic! The 3 dancers were just so talented! Worth it!
