During a large-scale renovation of the monumental Burgerweeshuis, the Amsterdam Museum will find its temporary home here. Here, the Amsterdam Museum will display an entirely new collection presentation that, besides the traditional history of Amsterdam, also offers plenty of space for dissenting voices and lesser-known and more recent histories of the city. Exhibitions Temporary exhibitions also give the floor to residents and lovers of the city to show 'their Amsterdam'. With well-known objects from the collection and new or less well-known works, the Amsterdam Museum on the Amstel will show you that there is no single history of the city. Panorama Amsterdam In the permanent chronological presentation: Panorama Amsterdam, well-known and unknown stories about, and perspectives on, Amsterdam's past give an impression of how Amsterdam has formed and is still developing. Here you will see over 250 objects that give you a multifaceted picture of the many histories of the city of Amsterdam. Classic icons from the city collection by Lingelbach and Rembrandt alongside artists such as Raquel Haver, Natasja Kensmil and Brian Elstak.

An occult group has challenged you to uncover the identity of one of their most famous members. During this self guided experience, you will follow a treasure map and a series of clues left in an ancient book in order to unlock the lock box and discover his real name. You will pass by the major historical sites of the city on the 2.5km trail, solve puzzles, and learn about Golden Age Amsterdam. Do you have what it takes to solve the mystery? You'll have to play to find out! Other things to note All bookings are private. You will play with your own group - if there are other people they will play separately.
