Set off from the center of Tromsø and head to a location with low light pollution, minimal cloud coverage, and the highest chances of aurora viewing that day. Upon arrival, hot drinks will be served along with biscuits while you wait for the northern lights to occur. As the weather in Tromsø can change, you may need to throughout the night. Your guides will make sure you are as comfortable and warm as possible. If you're lucky and the northern lights start flickering above you in the sky, your guides will take some photos which will be sent to you after the tour.

Depart from Tromsø and set off to explore the bays, straights, and fjords of the Arctic which are rich in wildlife and history. Make a few stops en route including at modern fish farms, small fishing villages, and ancient island communities on the outside of Kvaløya or ‘whale island’. Experience the thrill of a snowmobile ride through the Lyngen Alps on this guided tour. You’ll see the beauty of an arctic fjord, take in an amazing mountain view, learn local history from your guide – and then warm up with delicious soup at a fishing village.  Departing from Tromsø, you’ll take a bus through arctic scenery and then transfer to a ferry to cross Ullsfjorden. After being escorted to the fishing village, you’ll get ready for the tour with driving and safety instructions, and be outfitted with warm clothing and safety equipment. Taking turns driving the snowmobile with a partner, you’ll follow the tour guide through epic nature with mountains surrounding you. Throughout the 2-hour trip there will be various stops at viewing points for photos and to learn the history of the area.  Once the trip is over, you’ll return to the fishing village for a warm homemade soup with fresh bread in a restaurant with a panoramic view. After finding the best spot to watch the lights, crunch through fresh snow surrounded by towering mountains and deep fjords. Take the time to really admire this incredible natural display of light, where colors dance in the air in beautiful, mesmerizing patterns. Keep your energy up with hot drinks, snacks, and warm locally-made stew. Then be taken back to memories of summer camp as you roast marshmallows on a smoky bonfire. Take lots of great photos throughout the night with the tripod provided. Your guide will offer advice to set up your camera properly, and also take photos of your group with the Northern Lights in the background. After a memorable evening, you will be dropped off at your accommodation in Tromsø.

Northern Norway has a unique nature, which changes with varying colors and light of the four seasons. This tour takes you right in the middle of these amazing landscapes. The tour starts from Tromso city center, from where you will head to the coast on the west side of Tromso. With a small group size, 8 people maximum, you will have an intimate and cozy experience. Be driven to the countryside of Tromso. Depending on the snow conditions and weather, the walk will be done either with or without snowshoes. In the autumn months of October and November, you'll get to enjoy the colorful countryside before it is covered with a thick layer of snow. In the winter, the landscape will be white with snow to play in. After the drive, stretch your legs on a nice walk up a small mountain. The Arctic nature offers you an unforgettable experience. During the walk you can view wildlife and when you reach the summit you will be provided with lunch. Your guide will take photos on the tour and share them with you after the trip, free of charge. Join an evening cruise and navigate the stellar sky above the fjords of Tromso Island in comfort. Meet at the boats, just by the quaside of Krystens Hus in Tromso centre. Feel welcomed by the crew as you climb aboard this Northern Lights Photo Cruise. As the ship departs, the guide will show you the ship's amenities, including the deck and indoor spaces. Hear stories of the Northern Lights while sipping on a tea or coffee in the lounge. Take the freedom of roaming around the spacious outder deck or unwind inside. Since the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, there's no guarantee of a sighting. The course depends on the weather forecast, and the cloud-free sky defines what sights may appear. Once the conditions are right, the captain will slow the boat and drift along with the current. Set up your camera, with help of your guide, and when the Northern Lights start to dance, they will offer to take many photos for you.

During late October to late January, have the best chance of seeing a humpback whale, killer whale (orca), harbor porpoise, or even a fin whale. Arrive at the whale feeding site and enjoy 1-1.5 hours to take an up-close look at the feast.

Join an unforgettable snowmobile safari above the Arctic Circle. Experience the magical winter landscape and the fun of snowmobiling. If you are really lucky the Northern Lights will be dancing above you all evening. Start with pickup from central Tromsø and embark on a 90-minute scenic drive to the wilderness center at Camp Tamok. Upon arrival, you will be directed to the equipment room, where you will be provided with warm clothes and shoes for the day. Go through safety instructions and have a practical demonstration on how to drive the snowmobile. Drive in pairs with one driver and one passenger per snowmobile and plenty of opportunities to switch places during the two-hour snowmobiling adventure. Travel between the snow-covered mountains up to a frozen lake. Lake Finn marks the halfway point of our snowmobiling adventure and is a good place to take photos and play in the snow. After driving back down the trail and parking the snowmobiles, tuck into a hot meal in a traditional north Norwegian setting around the open fire in a reindeer herder’s tent. After relaxing and warming up, it is time to head back to Tromsø and tick another adventure off your bucket list.

Then, if the weather allows, sit by a bonfire and enjoy the Arctic beauty while roasting marshmallows. Your guide will share the facts, stories, traditions, beliefs, and superstitions about the lights as you warm by the fire. When the Aurora Borealis does appear, your guide will take professional pictures and share them with you for free. They will also help you to get the best out of your cameras and even mobile phones. Every guest has a free Aurora portrait included in the tour. You have the option to take more pictures if you want as an additional service. Conclude your tour with a drop-off close to your hotel in the city center. If you are staying at a private accommodation outside of the city center, you can book the drop off at your address when you book your ticket.

Relax with coffee and muffins as you wait for the Aurora Borealis or, if you're lucky, watch her dancing as soon as you arrive.
