Planning Your Visit
Save money on transport
The way the city is built, you’ll find yourself using the waterbuses (“vaporetti”) a lot more than expected. These trips can eat into your savings if you’re not careful. Bundle tickets are a great way of avoiding nasty surprises. The price of a 12-hour ticket is roughly equivalent to 3 singles and the relative cost keeps dropping for longer periods (tickets are available for up to a week).
Counters are your friends
Eating and drinking can be very expensive in Venice. Bars and restaurants generally charge more for sitting at a table, so a great way of cutting costs is opting for the counter instead. Surcharges vary with some restaurants charging up to 500% in the busiest tourist areas!
Enjoy the view
The view of the entire city from atop the bell tower on Piazza San Marco, which costs 8 EUR, is one of Venice’s most popular attractions. An insider tip is heading over to San Giorgio Maggiore – the view is arguably better and the privilege only costs 3 EUR.

What people are saying about Venice
So overall we enjoyed Doge’s Palace. Thought we were not going to make it since the line is so long. This Reserved Entry Admission Ticket is not a fast line that you can just enter through another entrance. You will need to fall in line for several minutes. Make sure that if you have a another activity after this make sure to give an allowance (hrs. ) for the next one. Didn’t really paid for a guided tour on this activity, since we are just staying 1 day in Venice. For sure it will be amazing if it’s going to be a guided tour plus I’m sure that there is no waiting in line to enter. Over all it was amazing to see the palace plus the prison and going through the bridge of sighs.
The tour guide, I think his name was Marco, was wonderful! He was tall, amusing, and knowledgeable. However I signed up for the 10 peole and under tour and the people at the meeting point said they never had such a tour. They only had 20 people and under tours. The palace was beautiful It is amuch see for Venice. The tour was so helpful to kow what we were seeing. You should do it.
It was a really great experience that we thoroughly enjoyed! Very relaxing with beautiful views of Venice! Out Gondolier was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot from him! I would definitely recommend this trip and it’s much more reasonable than the €80 charge if you do not book!
Beautiful exhibit. Be sure to grab this ticket in advance because often sold out!
Best, easiest and fastest way to get to your hotel!
