This was very a professional and organised tour, meeting at a ticket booth just to one side of the Duomo. We were a group of 25. Our guide Jose was very knowledgeable and charismatic, teaching lots about the Duomo. It’s good that he leaves you up on the terraces after the tour ends to explore in your own time, so this can easily make for a longer visit. You are also allowed to continue round the inside after the tour to revisit anything you wish. It was useful having queue jump and elevator access to the terraces. At times the guide’s audio cut out when you’re too far at the back, but can’t be helped given we were in amongst a lot of marble walls! Jose made effort to avoid this. Overall I highly recommend.

Highly recommended. Excellent and comprehensive tour. The cathedral complex is large so give yourselves time to walk around and locate the tour guide. We were provided excellent quality audio devices with headphones which made it easy to follow along. The tour covered the history, construction, explanation of the stained glass windows, organs, sun-dial, excavations incl old cathedrals, and tour of the terraces. Ticket covered the use of elevators to get to the top, but we had to take the stairs to come down (we knew about this up front).

The guide was excellent! The only negative point maybe that it is kind of long (1h 30') even if the history is incredible and it is really well explained.

Thank you! The guide was knowledgeable and kind. She took care of us well and it was easy to find and follow along.

Guide was very good and informative . It was very wet but he didn’t let that spoil our experience.
