Your experience begins by getting picked up from your hostel/hotel between 5:30 AM–6 AM. From there, travel to Paracas, a beautiful small town by the sea, on a spacious bus where you'll be able to relax for the 4-hour ride. Once in Paracas, you will begin a 2-hour boat tour of the Ballestas Islands. The Ballestas are a smaller version of the Galapagos, and this tour offers you the chance to see sea lions, penguins, and plenty of birds up close and all in their natural habitats. You may even get the chance to see a dolphin or two. At 1 PM, move on from Paracas to Huacachina, a natural oasis located in the Ica Desert home to the biggest sand dunes in South America. There, you will have free time to explore and have lunch at one of the local restaurants around the oasis. Following lunch, it will be time for 2 hours of exhilarating dune buggying and sandboarding. Dune buggy up the sand du...

SO MUCH FUN!! This is a great experience! My husband and I had a blast. The scenery is so beautiful, like nothing we have seen before. The guides were great and our driver was amazing. He was wild and fast but we felt safe. His name is Alex and he is the best! The sand boarding was so much fun and the sunset was beautiful. We highly recommend this experience!

  • Lima: Swim with Wild Sea Lions at Palomino Islands

    3. Lima: Swim with Wild Sea Lions at Palomino Islands

Meet your friendly crew then sail to the islands of Callao, travelling through the "El Camotal" underwater, open sea and passing by San Lorenzo Island.  At 11:30 AM, reach the farthest point, Palomino Island, which houses a large colony of sea lions. Here, you can freely swim alongside these great animals in neoprene suits. Then, at 12:35 PM, you will return to the meeting place in Calloa at Calle La Mar 229. Your return will begin through impressively shaped cliffs and islets. You will have the chance to enjoy a snack on board before arriving at the pier in Callao at 1:00 PM.

The crew were funny, engaging, genuinely happy to take us out to swim with the sea lions. The experience was amazing. I have swum, surfed, dived in the ocean for 50 years but never have I been happier in the water than I was swimming with the sea lions. Their noise, inquisitive and fun nature was incredible. I was fortunate enough to be nibbled on the foot by one! Words can’t describe. Have no second thoughts, do it, you won’t regret it.

  • From Lima: Tour to Paracas, Ica and Huacachina

    4. From Lima: Tour to Paracas, Ica and Huacachina

Visit a natural oasis in the middle of the desert surrounded by beautiful palm trees. Here, you can also take pedal boat rides around the lagoon, practice sand-boarding and ride in tubular cars. You will be picked up from your hotel at 4:00 AM. Before heading to Paracas. Once you arrive, board the 'sliders' at the pier and begin the excursion to the Ballestas Islands. On the way, we can see the 'Candelabro' (Paracas Chandelier), a large geoglyph that serves as a beacon to the navigators. Continuing to the Ballestas Islands, you'll see the natural habitat of the sea lions. They love to approach the tourist boats, a truly magical spectacle that justifies the visit in itself. You will also be able to view the Humboldt penguins and guano birds.  Continuing to the province of Ica, get to know the culture and gastronomy with a typical lunch. After lunch, you'll go to the Huacachina Oasis an...

This was a gr8 tour. Cheers to guide Miraglos and driver Viktor. Miraglos was good at time management and engaging the group. Be prepared for a long day as these places are far from Lima. We were picked up at 4.50 am by a private taxi (included in the booking) and then transfered to the van. The van seats 15, bit we were only 7 tourists, so it was comfortable. The tour of Ballesyas islands is gr8, u see the island rock formations and some penguins as well. Lunch is elaborate and sumptuous at El Catador, where u also engage in wine and pisco tasting. You will then proceed to Huacachina oasis for sand buggy and sand boarding. This is a gr8 adventure in the dunes. Viktor was gr8 driver and drove with caution and safety. Miraglos was always there to facilitate your rideback from dropoff point by a private taxi ( included in booking). Highly recommended tour.

  • Lima: Free Guided Walking Tour

    5. Lima: Free Guided Walking Tour

Your free walking tour includes the routes that the locals know and love. You will encounter Miraflores, the historical center, and Barranco, all whilst learning about Lima. Bring an exploratory attitude as your guides will show you the most authentic places that no other tours visit. Prepare to connect with your guide as they connect you with the city of Lima. The itinerary travels through the many icons of Lima, but above all through the unknown sites of the city.

Recomendado.

It wasn’t what I had expected but was a good experience once on the bus. The pick up directions were incorrect. There was no NVK cinema ticket office. There was no signage at all for the bus stop. After asking several locals we finally found where to meet. Good thing we initially arrived an hour early. The tour was narrated by an actual person instead of a prerecorded dialogue. However, they used a poor quality speaker system instead of headphones. Could not hear or understand much of the descriptions. Spoken first in Spanish then English. The highlight was an actual off bus tour of the Lima Cathedral.

This tour was wonderful! We did not have a lot of time in Lima but we wanted to get in as much as we could. Luca, the tour guide, was wonderful. Kind, sincere, caring, extremely knowledgeable, and willing to entertain all our questions, take pictures for us, asked us our opinion, and made us feel welcome to his beautiful country and city. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has some time but not a lot. The driver was nice as well and they provided us with a clean van, water, and snacks.

I had an amazing time! Our guide brought us to visit the plaza in Miraflores, the plaza del amor, he discussed with us the coastal life, we road along the coast of the pacific ocean to the town of Barranco where we have a nice coffee stop. Our guide was amazing and friendly and willing to share the history.

Book and enjoy! Pick up to drop off was a safe and enjoyable experience. Took visiting the sites to a level of just view and enjoy. Having a personal tour guide and a small group could not have been better!
