What people are saying about Fort Sumter National Monument

The excursion was fine EXCEPT: lady at Patriot Point ticket window said that the excursion was not handicapped accessible from that location, meaning the ferry, ie etc. That was incorrect, and I was able to use my mobility scooter everywhere excepting the second level of Ft. Sumter! She needs to be better informed, and a little bit more handicapped friendly!

I knew nothing really about Ft Sumter or it's history, the guides were a wealth of knowledge & very helpful! My only take away was the ferry ride over & back. There were multiple people using vape pens. I thought you could. It use any type of tobacco products but I could have been misinformed.

The staff on the boat were very accommodating and informative. The park rangers were exceptional. We went on a Monday in March so we practically had the whole fort to ourselves and they took that opportunity to show us everything possible as well as answered all of our questions.

Immersed in knowledge. Comfortable. Recommend firs week of April. Azaleas in bloom. Get your Guide did not say which your operator the purchase was for. The historic city to her plus a mansion is the Manigault House Greyline Tours.

We had a good idea of what to expect. I found the ‘beach restoration ‘ that was taking place interesting and thought the park service could do more education on that aspect.
