Full description
After being collected from your downtown accommodation in a comfortable shuttle bus, you will venture down to the harbor where you will meet with your boat. After meeting your guides for the day, you will then depart from Victoria, setting off on your 3-hour whale-watching tour. Between April and October, you will have a greater than 95% success rate of spotting whales, including both transient and resident orcas, humpback, minke, and gray whales. Other wildlife you may encounter include Dall’s and harbor porpoises, harbor and elephant seals, and otters and marine birds such as cormorants and bald eagles. The zodiac vessels used on your tour are definitely recommended for the more wild-at-heart. You can let the wind blow in your hair and be exposed to the true west-coast elements in an open style, 12-passenger vessel. At the conclusion of your exhilarating tour, you will be returned back to the harbor, at which point you will be driven back to your accommodation in downtown Victoria.

This tour was awesome. Small group of 12 in a comfy zodiac. Not squishy at all! I'm 5'11" and had plenty of room. The 3 hour length was just right and Skipper Sara was really knowledgable about where to find sea life and shared interesting info during sightings. Dont worry the price wont give you as good an experience (I was at first after researching other company rates). They simply gave a competitive rate and gave us a stellar experience. Zodiac whale watching is the way to go if you want a real and up close ocean feel! Highly recommend.

This experience just made our Victoria trip. I mean we saw humpback whales, killer whales and sea lions, the trifecta of pacific. Special shout out to Sara who has a great eye for these majestic creatures and does her job with so much passion. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and guide!

Mick was knowledgeable. We went out at 10am it was a non windy day. What to wear: running shoes, pants and a hoodie is good. The hoodie will help keep the hood of the safety suit up because when riding across the ocean the wind is very cool and quite windy. For a bumpy ride sit in the front and less in the back. All the boats out on the ocean help each other when they see a whale. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you.
