The pre ordered ticket was really useful as it enabled us to skip the initial queue. We still had to queue for around 10 minutes for the cable cart each time, which is fine, but if we didn’t come early and pre book, standing in the sun would’ve been tough. Benefit of booking here is you skip the first queue.

We did this on the very last day before we were to leave Rio. We had to cancel going up the prior tow times as it was covered in clouds and it was raining. So we had to do it the last day. We were glad we had booked this as when we got to the venue there was a long line all the way out to the streets. Since we had the fast pass, we were able to pass the line and the heat and were taken to a cool lounge for fast pass. We got preference on the cable cars, which again helped as it was a holiday and the place was crowded. So overall this ticket with the fast pass was very worth it.

Get ready for long queues regardless of buying tickets online. The process is ridiculously complex. You buy online, but you need to print it in an administrative office (?!). Then you need to sign a paper and validate your ticket. Just scan from the phone app, like the rest of the world. The view is nice, that's it.
