Full description
Meet with your group at Plaza de Armas in the historical center of Cusco. Travel first to Chinchero, a small rustic town with a long tradition of textile weaving. See various textiles woven with traditional Incan techniques.  Next, you will visit Moray and see the agricultural terraces built along the hillsides. These terraces were built by the Incas to grow an abundance of crops on less-than-ideal mountain terrain. Right next to this area, at Moras, there are over 5000 salt ponds which were used by the Incas for salt extraction. This helped preserve their foods for long periods. After learning about Incan agricultural techniques, make your way to Urubamba, the capital of the Sacred Valley, for some lunch. After lunch, make your way to two historical towns, Ollantaytambo and Pisaq. At Ollantaytambo, you will climb over 200 steps to reach the top of the ancient terraced fortress that overlooks the town. This was an important defensive location during Incan times. At Pisaq, you can discover the local market selling all sorts of souvenirs and local crafts, before returning to Cusco.

An incredible day! I can't say enough good things about our guide and the value you get for your money. We stopped at SO many places and really had a full day packed with info and sightseeing. Definitely requires a lot of energy so just a heads up if you plan on sleeping on bus or aren't very active. This tour will wear you out in the best way. We got back about an hour or so later than planned, more so because our group wasn't timely but our guide did a really nice job of keeping us on track and making sure we saw everything we were expecting. highly recommend!

A good option for those who have little time to get to know the sacred valley and do not want to miss out on any detail. It is an excellent experience, and what makes it even better is the guide Diego who not only provides many and very interesting information during the tour, but also really closes the circle to get an idea of the majesty of the Inca Empire. I really recommend this toru.

Several mythical sites visited for a full day Very good explanations from the guide Only downsides the program changes on certain sites due to weather conditions The meeting in the morning with the other tourists was not very well organized And feeling of being brought to lots of places to consume even more behind
