Full description

Enjoy a full-day scenic tour to the basalt rocks of the Giant’s Causeway. Formed more than 60 million years ago, the legend of the rocks features an Irish giant named Finn who was challenged to bridge the sea between Ireland and Scotland.

Departing from Dublin, stroll along the windswept path of County Antrim on arrival, and get panoramic views of the Mull of Kintyre and Rathlin Island. Continue along the coastal road, and enjoy views of Whitepark Bay and Portbradden.

Then, explore the 37,000 basalt “stepping stone” columns of the Giant’s Causeway.

Towering from the cliff and disappearing under the sea to reappear on Straffe Island, learn the legend of Finn before driving along the Causeway Coastal route between Ballycastle and Dunluce to experience one of the most dramatic roads in the world.

See wind-blasted cliffs and unspoiled beaches. Stop at Dunluce Castle to tour the former residence of the McDonnell clan, considered by many to be the most romantic castle in Ireland.

En route, pass through Bushmills, famed for its fantastic whisky. End with an orientation tour of Belfast city center, including City Hall, Victoria Square, and the famous Titanic Dry Dock, where the famous ocean liner was built.

Very nice day. Pick up at 7am, direction Belfast to pick up people. Then, 20' stop at Chemin des Hêtres, 10' to take pictures of Dunluce Castle, 1h15 at the Giant's Causeway. I advise you to start on the bottom path (blue) and go up the cliff (red path). You can see down then up. And 1 hour free return to Belfast. It is proposed to take a ride in black taxis (for a fee). What we regret a lot is the lack of translation. We didn't understand the history of the country. The timing is too rigid. If the people are not right on time, or even in advance, he could leave without them.

A nice trip with a mix of nature and city! From the remote giants' pass with stunning ocean views, to the eclectic city of Belfast. All accompanied by a pleasant chat with Frank, guide and driver, who not only tells Irish history and facts but entertains with his sympathy, energy and fun curiosities!

The tour is definitely worth it! The price is totally worth it. The drive is long, but our guide made it a lot of fun. Giants causeway was super nice. If it rains, I recommend a rain poncho and very rainproof clothing! As the water can make it very wet and stormy.
