Full description

Discover rock landmarks in Chelsea, Kensington, Notting Hill and St John's Wood. Visit sites that made the Sixties swing, where London’s hippie underground ‘counter-culture’ took off, and where the 70s punk revolution took place.

See the boutiques, pubs, and clubs that made these decades, inspiring hundreds of well-known lyrics and melodies.

Head first to King's Road, chock full of fashion and music heritage.

See where the Rolling Stones shared a flat, where Mick and Marianne partied, what was the famed Chelsea Drug Store, where the Beatles made album history, where Clapton rocked his Cream years, and where heaps of stars got married.

Discover the cradle of the punk movement where bands like Sex Pistols, The Clash, Poly Styrene, and X Ray Spex played. Pass gig sites, recording studios, and shops frequented by the 'glitterati.' See the Kensington of Queen, where the band was formed, where famous album parties were held, and where Freddie died.

Continue to Notting Hill, the heart of London's Caribbean community, home of London's reggae scene, once home to hippies and punks.

See places where Jimi Hendrix lived, played, and died. Pass the former homes and gig sites of The Beatles. See the site of the Get Back rooftop concert.

Finally, make a photo stop at London’s most famous street crossing at Abbey Road.

I went on this tour guided by Jim with my teenage children (16 and 19). We all really enjoyed Jim's incredible knowledge and passion in telling us all the stories of many famous musicians (the Beatles, Jim Hendrix, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Bob Marley, the Rolling Stones, the Clash, Sex Pistols, Freddie Mercury, Bee Gees..): where they recorded, where they lived/got married/died. It really brought the town into life. And of course the playlist was great and part of the storyline. Jim had also a folder full of pictures to be passed around as we reached the different spots. Excellent!

This was a great tour, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Clive was a great guide, very knowledgable. The only minor feedback I have is for maybe the vehicle windows to be cleaned prior to the tour as sometimes you're taking photos of places through the glass as you're driving along, the windows were quite dirty.

It was a great tour. The tour guide, Colin, was exceptionally knowledgeable and answered every question thrown at him while talking about various points of interest and regain us with numerous stories about various famous rock and roll artists. If you're a classic rock lover, whether it be British artists or not, this tour is made for you!
