Venice Beach : French guided walking tour

2. Venice Beach : French guided walking tour

The Venice Beach boardwalk, the canals, Abbot Kinney, Venice Beach's trendiest street and the pedestrian streets of Venice Beach. In a few words, this is what you will discover accompanied by a French tour guide in small groups (10 people max.) There's never a dull moment in Venice Beach, with bodybuilders training at Muscle Beach, surfers on the lookout for waves and skaters spending hours at California's most famous skatepark. Atmosphere guaranteed! Abbot Kinney, who founded Venice Beach in 1905, had fallen in love with Venice and wanted to bring the romanticism of the Italian city to California, with the canals add a touch of authenticity. The architecture of the houses is very different from that of the Italian peninsula, but in a completely different genre: from Californian-style bungalows to contemporary glass houses and extravagant mini-castles. Venice Beach's trendiest street. A few years ago, Abbot Kinney was still an unfrequented street, but now it's been dubbed "America's coolest street". Lined with chic boutiques and concept stores, Google and Snapchat have set up offices nearby, driving up the price per square meter. The pedestrian streets of Venice Beach, just a few blocks from the famous Abbot Kinney, pedestrian-only streets reveal some of Venice Beach's prettiest homes and cottages. A haven of peace!

Vo had a really good trip with our guide Mickey Stringer from Bikes and hikes. The 6 hours were a good combination of hilly driving in Beverly Hills, beach driving in Santa Monica and Venice Beach and cycle highway on the way back. Good service with water and pre-ordered delicious lunch.

Nice diverse way to see LA on an electric bike. Very doable if you bike more often. Friendly and helpful staff & guide.
