What people are saying about Aberdeenshire

Duff House is a grand stately home full of wonderful paintings and ornate ceilings. Really impressive. Afterwards we went to Pennan, a little community of whitewashed houses with gigantic cliffs rising behind them. Then on to Fraserburgh to a nearby lighthouse and I spent 45 minutes looking round the excellent lighthouse museum. As on the previous trip to Balmoral, Braemar and the Cairngorms, the tour guide Jacqueline was most attentive and informative, enriching my knowledge of the area.

Jacqueline is an excellent guide, and very personable, she took a lot of time and trouble explaining the history of the area and pointing out places of interest such as a circle of stones. She went out of her way to take me to Krathie Kirk and show me some really pretty villages. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and recommend this company Grampian Escapes and Tours.

It turns out to be a private tour as I was the only customer on this guaranteed departure. Jacqueline is very knowledgeable and flexible with time as I am the only customer. The excellent weather also made the trip very enjoyable.

Doug is very knowledgable guy, the tour was amazing, totally enjoyed it, the weather was not good, but still he tried to make the most out of it. Experience is worth doing. Would repeat one more time during spring period!

The tour guide was very friendly and know a lot about the area. Would highly recommend this tour
