Full description

Your friendly and professional tour guide will punctually come meet you at your hotel or cruise ship terminal. Once on board, the excursion will head to The Vallarino Turtle Camp where, after a short but very complete explanation of their mission in the camp, you will proceed to help release every one of the turtles into the ocean. Your leisurely trek begins with basic riding technique and getting to know your horse. Fear not! This trip is for riders of all experience levels, so don’t hesitate to ask questions. The expertly trained guides will happily explain all you need to know. Once you’re in the saddle, enjoy a leisurely ride through the stunning landscape surrounding Acapulco. Your entertaining guides will offer information about the unique terrain, and you’ll have plenty of photo opportunities. Keep your eyes peeled for the perfect vista shot of the Pacific Ocean or just unwind and enjoy the ocean breeze on your face. Finally, visit a newly opened crocodile farm. The tour guide, Rudy, drove us around Acapulco, sort of taking us on a scenic route to the beach. Once we got there, the animal shelter was right on the beach and was converted from a house. We rode along the water (with a guide) on a couple of horses that had been rescued and then went back to the house where we watched a few videos about how sea turtles lay their eggs, why they're in danger, etc. before helping to release about 15-20 sea turtles into the ocean. We personally took them out of the basket and laid them on the beach --- a VERY cool experience. A real added bonus was that Rudy had a pretty nice camera that he used to take pictures and videos of us, which he emailed us later that day.
