Full description

Spend the day touring the wineries of the Barossa Valley with an expert guide. Enjoy landscapes covered in grapes and greenery and taste the best wines of the region.

Start your day with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Glenelg or Adelaide. Make your way through the Adelaide Hills to your first stop at the famous Whispering Wall and listen to its famous acoustic qualities. Your first winery is the beautiful and historic Château Yaldara, home to not only some of the finest Shirazes in the region but to some of the best-preserved period architecture in the state.

Continue through the picturesque surroundings of the Barossa Valley, and cross the iconic Jacobs Creek. Enjoy time to explore the shops and attractions of the historic township of Tanunda. Indulge with some of the Barossa’s most internationally acclaimed wines at the beautiful Peter Lehmann Winery with a platter of the best meats, cheeses, and freshly baked bread. The next stop is a real hidden gem of the Barossa and is exclusive to tour guests: Rosenvale Wines. This small but top-quality cellar welcomes guests to try their high-quality selection of wines as they guide you through a passionate and personal tasting experience. Enjoy the exquisite quality of their products. It's then time to depart for the final winery for the day, as you visit the iconic Wolf Blass with its state-of-the-art Visitor Centre. Try wines you may recognize, or enjoy tasting cellar tour exclusives. Complete your day with a trip through the beautiful Seppeltsfield region, where you will have the perfect photo opportunity before heading back to Adelaide at approximately 5:30 PM.

Very well organised tour! Went to a good range of wineries.Lunch was just a cheese and meat platter. On other similar priced wine trips had a proper 3 course meal served.Disappointed no time for a glass of wine at last winery.I would have preferred that to the small place we moved onto where most things were already closed.

Overall great experience for my husband and I. Our tour guide/driver JR held great knowledge on Adelaide and on the wine region. Full day schedule was good, pick up and drop off was on time. The wineries we visited were lovely. Our favourites were Chateau Yaldara which had a lovely cellar tour that brought about their history & heritage, and Peter Lehmann which not only served a complementary platter lunch but also staff that took time to educate us on all things wine from vineyard to bottle. I don’t recall however visiting the Tanunda shops, that would have been lovely - perhaps the schedule was too jam packed. Thanks JR for a lovely wine tour. Will definitely recommend this one to friends.

The day was made by Russell as an excellent driver who constantly kept us informed on the day and the sights . Knows his subject . As importantly the first three vineyard’s were excellent. All 3 hosts were great . The Shiraz at all 3 were tremendous. The last stop was disappointing- the host was a bit weird in my opinion . Good company on the bus . Would recommend
