Best experience! It was flawless. I received my tickets the day before my tour. Upon arrival at Aguas Caliente, the day before my tour, I met with the guide briefly so as to confirm the meeting time/location the following day. On the day of the tour, they met us at the agreed time/location, took us to the bus and the guide met us when we arrived in Machu Picchu. Ulysses, who was our guide, was EXCELLENT!!

Machu Picchu is an amazing place that everyone should experience! Photos and videos just can't do it justice so you need to experience it in person!! The whole process of scheduling and taking this tour was very smooth from beginning to end. When we arrived in Aguas Calientes (also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo), we were immediately met when we exited our train (I highly recommend taking the Peru Rail Vistadome train) and guided to the bus which took us to the entrance of Machu Picchu. There we were met by our tour guide and he took us on a personal tour, just my wife and I for 2.5 hours. When we finished, we got on a bus back down to Aguas Calientes at the bottom of the mountain, where we bought souvenirs and enjoyed a meal (Alpaca steak is wonderful!)

This was the highlight of our trip to the Cusco area. We stayed 10 nights in Cusco, but decided to get a hotel room in Aguas Caliente the night before we went to Machu Picchu. This was much so much better than trying to make the trek from Cusco to MP and back in one day! Our fabulous guide, Americo, met us the night before our tour at our hotel. My sister really wanted to see the sunrise over MP, but Americo talked us out of it bc it was supposed to be super foggy early the next morning. We went at 8AM and it was still a bit foggy, but it made for some pretty pictures. Apparently, you are only allowed to be at the top for about 20 minutes (lots of people want pics from the same viewpoint), so Americo chatted with us about MP for 20 minutes and by then the fog had lifted and we got some REALLY memorable pics!! Fabulous trip made better by a wonderful guide!
