Day 1: Cusco - Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes
Start bright and early with pickup from your hotel, then set out to the Sacred Valley of the Incas for a guided tour along the river. Visit the Pisac Archaeological Park and its traditional market before sitting down for a buffet lunch in Urubamba.
Continue to the city of Ollantaytambo, where you’ll get out to walk through the cobbled streets to see how the Inca culture is kept alive here.
In the afternoon, take the train to the city of Aguas Calientes, tickets included. The approximately 2-hour trip will give you plenty of time to relax and see wonderful views of the Andean Mountains.
Upon arrival at the Aguas Calientes Train Station, take a transfer to your 3-star hotel accommodation for the night.
Day 2: Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Cusco
In the morning after breakfast at the hotel, take a 25-minute bus ride with your guide from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu (included). Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, embark on a 2-hour guided tour of the citadel. Afterward, there will be free time to explore and take photos.
After experiencing Machu Picchu to the fullest, you’ll hop back on the bus to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, enjoy some more free time to explore the town and visit one of the local restaurants (costs not included).
In the afternoon, return to Cusco by train. After an approximately 4-hour ride, you’ll arrive back in Cusco and take a final transfer back to your hotel.
