Pick up from your hotel or airbnb. The transport will take you to the Ollantaytambo station, a trip of 1 hour and 40 minutes. They will arrive at the station, they will depart by train to the Machu Picchu Pueblo station, a trip of 1 hour and 40 minutes. my co-worker will receive you at the station with a black flag with the name of the group and your name. then they will get on a bus with a red ticket to the entrance gate to Machu Picchu, a 30-minute trip. They will enter Machu Picchu with the guide and will have 2 hours and 30 minutes to explore and take photos. The guide will end and you will go down by bus with the red ticket to Machu Picchu Pueblo to have lunch in local restaurants. Day 1: Cusco to Wayllabamba After pick-up Cusco, drive for 1.5 hours by bus to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where the trek begins. The walking on the first day is relatively easy. Along the way you will visit the ruined city of Patallacta, and Willkarakay, a military post located above Patallacta. Then enter the lush valley of Wayllabamba, walking along the banks of the Cusichaca River. The trail continues gradually upward through dense Andean forest, to the first campsite in Wayllabamba. Day 2: Wayllabamba to Pacaymayu You will start early, as the walking is physically intense for those who are not accustomed to high altitudes. Trek through the densely vegetated Andean forest until you arrive at a campsite, where you will take a short rest. Continuing your ascent in the afternoon, the habitat will begin to change. After another rest, with snacks and hot drinks, begin the final ascent to a 4,215 meter pass, the highest point of the trek. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys below, then descend to the campsite in Pacaymayu for the night. Day 3: Pacaymayu to Wiñay Wayna  Visit the archaeological site of Runkurakay, a former resting lodge for ancient pilgrims. Then after a 45-minute ascent, you will reach the second highest pass of the Inca trail. Descend to the archaeological site of Sayacmarca. After visiting the site, continue down the beautifully paved road to the lunch stop. From here you will enter the high Andean cloud forest. The trail continues along a narrow ridge, arriving at a natural viewing area, where it is possible to see the Sacred Valley and numerous mountain peaks, as well as Machu Picchu. From here, descend to the campsite at Wiñay Wayna, passing an important archaeological site and a temple where offerings are made to the sacred mountain spirits. Day 4: Wiñay Wayna to Machu Picchu Rise early to complete the final stretch of the Inca Trail. After about an hour you will reach the Sun Gate, and see the sunrise over the Andes (weather permitting). A 45-minute walk will take you into the higher area of Machu Picchu. Take a 2-hour tour to learn more about this magical place, and then you will have time to explore the citadel by yourself. The climb to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain is optional (at additional cost and must be booked in advance). In the afternoon you will descend by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will receive your train tickets for the return journey to Cusco. The train will arrive to Ollantaytambo, where you will be picked up and driven by bus back to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY01: MOLLEPATA – SORAYPAMPA We will pick you up at 5:00am from your hotel and travel by private van to the village of Mollepata in the verdant Apurimac River Valley. After breakfast and getting ready, we will take a three and a half hour walk to Sicllapata. Here we will eat lunch surrounded by beautiful panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks of Humantay and Salkantay. We will continue our trek towards Soraypamapa (4000m/12750ft) for another 4 hours. This campsite is the highest and coldest campsite of the whole trip. DAY02: SORAYPAMPA –QOLPAPAMPA The second day is the longest day of the trek. After an early breakfast, we will start hiking up a moderate climb for three and a half hours until we reach the Salkantay Pass (4600m/9800ft). From this point, we can soak in spectacular views of Salkantay. At the pass you can leave a piece of rock carried from the bottom as a present for the mountain spirit. We will continue a downhill trek for two hours to Huayracmachay. After a quick rest, we will continue our hike for three and a half hours through the Amazon jungle (do not forget your bugspray!). We will reach our second campsite, Colcapampa (3000m/9800ft) and have dinner. Depending on how quickly the group hikes, other possible campsites are Andenes or Challway. DAY03: QOLPAPAMPA – THE BEACH After breakfast at 5:30am, we will start a 6 hour hike through the tropical jungle. We will cross the Lluskamayo River and a variety of small streams so waterproof shoes are a good idea. We will pass through gorgeous valleys and have wonderful views of waterfalls. Your guide will show you naturally growing tropical fruits and native plants and flowers.Then will spend the night in campsite of La Playa (2500m/8350ft). We will also have the option to spend a relaxing afternoon at the hot springs and enjoy the refreshing river. DAY04: THE BEACH – LLACTAPATA – HOT SPRINGS In the morning, we will leave La Playa and start a 3 hour climb to reach Llactapata (2.700m/8910ft), an incredible Inca fort from which we will enjoy our first view of Machu Picchu! After some pictures and rest, we will descend for two hours to the Hydroelectric Plant, where we will have our final lunch. At about 4pm, we will reach to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night. In Aguas Calientes, we will enjoy a celebratory dinner and enjoy the comfort of beds and hot showers at a local hostel. You will also have the option to take advantage of the thermal springs in the evening (10 soles). DAY05: MACHU PICCHU 1) we can hike for one and a half hours from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, or Taking bus By waking up early, you will witness the magnificent sunrise at this ancient Inca city. At Machu Picchu, you will have a guided tour for approximately 2 hours. After the tour, you will have free time to explore this mysterious city by yourself. When you finish at Machu Picchu, you will meet your guide in Aguas Calientes for lunch where he/she will give you your train ticket back to Cusco.

10. Cusco: 2-Day Humantay Lake and Machu Picchu Tour

Day 1: Cusco, Humantay Lake, and Aguas Calientes Pickup will be between 4:30AM and 5:00AM from your Cusco accommodation. From there you will drive for 2 hours to Mollepata for breakfast, then 1 more hour to the starting point of Soraypampa. Once there you will begin your trek to the Humantay Lake, where after you have spent some time exploring, you will descend to Soraypampa before traveling onward to Mollepata. Once having arrived there you will enjoy a delicious lunch as cooked for your chef. Following lunch, continue by van for 3.5 hours to Ollantaytambo. In Ollantaytambo you will take the train to Aguas Calientes, where once you arrive your transfer will be waiting for you at the train station to take you to your hotel. You will later have free time to explore the town, before retiring for the evening. Day 2: Machu Picchu and Cusco You will wake up early in the morning to take the bus to Machu Picchu. Following an approximately 30-minute ride, you will reach the site's gates. Once you have arrived to Machu Picchu, you will meet with your tour guide to begin your tour. Your guide will explain and educate you all about the function, history, and construction of the area, and once you are done enjoying this famous and sacred site, you will travel back to Aguas Calientes by bus. You will then have time to visit and explore Aguas Calientes Town, and can potentially also explore some neighboring hot springs. There are also plenty of restaurants, hotels, and bars, where you can relax for the afternoon before boarding your respective train. In the early evening you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, before being transferred back to Cusco.

Wow! Travel now ,and dont wait to go to Matcu Picchu. The Mountain was I expected. Amazing fascinating. Place . We did travel from Cuzco from 4 am and catch the bus to train to ollaytumbo for a 7 am departure . We Arrive at Aqua before noon , and went to Matchu Picchu following meet up with the private guide to take the 8am bus to Mach Picchu and was back by noon at AQUA C . We had lunch, and took the train before 2 pm and arrive at OLLAYtumbo at 4 , and rented a taxi back to Cuzco , which we find it much better than sharing a shuttle , or bus . Something to consider.. -Peru Rail with Bus from Cuzco to OLLay . -Dont need to bus back from OLLay to Cuzco, Consider taking a private taxi for 20 US. Buy a Bus ticket with MP entrance and with a Private guide . Aways rent a newer car with air-con. Its make the travel easier on hot long drive . Peru VIP handled the travel arrangements, and they were fantastic. Super receptive and quick to respond. Vilma even came to our hotel the day prior to brief us on the day. Our tour guide Estavan was fantastic. I am looking forward to using them again once I am back in Peru.
