This was a lovely day trip, spent chasing lavender fields. Our guide ‘Djam’ was fantastic and very knowledgeable about lavender. We found some gorgeous lavender fields despite harvesting starting early due to the weather. The visit to the distillery was short and sweet and it was great to see how the lavender of processed and the to learn the difference between lavender and lavendin. The final stop of Gordes was the perfect way to end the day, it is such a beautiful village. The ride both ways was smooth, our guide was a great driver and the aircon was in the entire time, a true luxury in almost 40 degree weather.

It was wonderful experience with beautiful lavender. Our guide “Remy” knew good spots to take a beautiful photos with lavender. And he explains about the village well. It was very interesting for us. we really recommanded him. :) But, the booking agence demanded to change our reservation time. So, it makes us very unpleasant. And, we should have to change our entire plan of day.

Recommended activity

In my opinion it is an activity that is worth it. During the journey from Aix-en-Provence to the lavender fields that lasts approximately half an hour they tell you the story of both the town and the different landscapes that are observed. When you reach the lavender fields, different stops are taken to take pictures. At the end of the visit you stop at the store of one of the main producers where you have the opportunity to try and learn first-hand the main products of the area as well as buy soaps or oils ... I would also recommend once the visit is over Take a walk around the village of Aix-en-Provence as I consider it quite worth it.
