During your time in the Provence forests you will learn how to distinguish between edible and poisonous mushrooms.  You will hunt for about 10 different varieties, including: cepes, chanterelle, golden chanterelle, hedgehog mushroom, blue stalk mushroom, Tricholoma myomyces, Saffron milk cap, white saddle, elfin saddle, and black trumpet. Do not debate doing this. Book it NOW. Amazing host, loves what he does. The views are amazing. The experience was so great starting off with history about truffles, then moving into the hunt and finishing with champagne and truffle snacks. Really the most amazing experience we had. 40 mins from Aix en pce by car. The opportunity after to purchase his own made goods like truffle salt , oil etc.

The guide was exceptional. Very knowledgeable and allowed for questions. It was a wonderful experience to learn the intricacies of truffle growing and selling. It’s not an easy feat! The food was surprising and delicious. Highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.
