The tour surpassed our expectations. Emre (guide) Okan (driver) are a fabulous team. Everything was organized, we were not rushed and the food choices were awesome. With their help we were able to add another tour with our trip. We finished our last day of the 7 churches with Gonca, she made the tour just as enjoyable as Emre.

The tour in itself was awesome. An Christian Pilgrim should have this on their to do list. This is an under valued experience. This turned into a private tour, which I was told it was not going to be. The Thermal Hotel and the Resort Hotel were excellent accommodations. I wanted an option to stay in a cheaper hotel the first two nights. The business hotel was the low light of the tour.

  • Eight Day Turkey Tour: Seven Churches of Asia

    3. Eight Day Turkey Tour: Seven Churches of Asia

Turkey, in antiquity known as Asia, was home to seven wondrous churches. It didn’t refer to an actual building, but rather seven Christian cities in Western Anatolia, which now lie in ruins. Visit these ancient places and walk the same steps that the world’s earliest Christians did. Before that, you’ll see all of Istanbul’s major sites, including the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque, and Hagia Sophia. Then you’ll travel to Izmir and start your tour of ancient Christianity, seeing many Roman ruins along the way. Soak in the thermal baths at Pamukkale, just as tourists have done for centuries – it was founded, after all, as a resort town by the Ancient Romans. Each step along the way, your expert guide will be there to provide you with context and information regarding each of these wonderful cities. Detailed Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival Arrive in Istanbul and ...

'A personalized 'History Channel' experience' It's a great time to see these historical sites at extremely affordable prices. Through historical references and myths, Emre explained the religious and trading significance of the cities to Anatolia and the whole region. Okan drove us smoothly between tour sites and our hotels in the vehicle's air-conditioned comfort. The team gave us a gift that included hand-sanitiser and more than enough masks for the whole trip, which we are using several days after the trip . Other bonuses include a night at the stunning Kusadasi beach, a trip to the world heritage Pamukkale, white limestone terraces and thermal pools, and enjoyed some tasty meals at little restaurants along the way. There's also an opportunity to get some great carpet, pottery and leather bargains at this time as local shops are keen for business. A great trip for singles and couples - might be a struggle with young kids.

We absolutely enjoyed our visit to seven churches and all that was arranged to make our visit comfortable and informative. We could not have asked for more. Our guide Emre Dasdemir and driver Okan Hizal are amazing team. They both bent backwards to accommodate our request and cater for all our needs. I would ask for Altinkum and same driver and guide everything if I visit Turkey.

A well organised tour of the 7 churches, a very knowledgeable guide, friendly helpful driver and suitable accommodation in the hotels. This tour is excellent value for the money with the comfort of knowing that should unforeseen circumstances arise and the tour had to be cancelled there is the guarantee of a refund. Highly recommended.
