  • Savor a buffet lunch in the jungle and visit 2 different types of cenotes
Full description

After pickup from your hotel in Cancun or Riviera Maya, visit the Ruins of Tulum. Embark on a 45-minute tour with a professional archeologist guide and learn about Mayan history. Explore the site at your own pace.  Next, board your coach and travel to the Xtun Cenote. The drive includes off-roading since the cenote is located in the jungle. Once arriving, enjoy a Mexican buffet-style lunch including Cochinita Pibil ´the pulled pork of Mexico,´ chicken, rice, beans, tortillas, and tortilla chips. Vegetarian options are available upon advance notice.

Visit two types of cenotes, stage 1 and stage 2. First, wander through the dry stage 2 cenote and admire the beautiful stalactite and stalagmite formations. Following a swim in the wet stage 1 cenote, snorkel, and explore the colorful sea life. After your cenote adventure, enjoy a Mexican-style coffee called Café Olla. Next, head to Akumal Bay, a perfect place for swimming with sea turtles that feed on the seagrass in the bay near you. Put on your provided snorkeling gear — or your own, if you prefer — and enjoy a snorkeling tour of these amazing creatures. Your instructor will guide you through each step of the process to ensure a unique and fun-filled swim experience. A professional photographer will accompany you throughout the day and capture your beautiful moments. Look over the photos at the end and purchase your USB with the guide. Finally, return to the van for transportation back to your hotel.

I was solo traveling and had such a good time with Macarena, the driver and photographer Benjamin. They really made sure we all felt comfortable at all times, were very knowledgeable and friendly. The ruins right next to a stunning beach was a great start, snorkeling with turtles was incredible and to finish of the cenote was compelling a 100% recommended tour day. Only thing was that since I stayed in Cancun, they came to pick me up at the Hotel at 6am instead of the described 8:30 am and it was a roughly 2 1/2 hours ride to Tulum where the ruins and other sites are. Knowing that I will spend 5 hours in a car beforehand, I probably would have cancelled but I have to say that it really still was worth the ride.

Loved every minute of this tour. My only suggestion is to spend less time in the tourist shop at Tulum. We stopped for "bathroom break" and it turned into almost 30 minutes for shopping experience. Hence, less time was spent at the ruins. It felt rushed. The guide there though was very knowledgable about Mayan culture and civilization, so it made up for it. Swimming with turtles and cenote were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this tour, just spend less time in the tourist trap gift shop.

Kathi was a fun, laidback, and knowledgeable tour guide who was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. Martin was an awesome driver, managing the busy traffic and the remote drive to the cenote with equal skill. This was an amazing day of adventure. We saw multiple sea turtles, amazing Mayan ruins, and swam in an underground river. What more could you ask for?!
