From Madrid: Segovia Hot Air Balloon and Optional City Tour

1. From Madrid: Segovia Hot Air Balloon and Optional City Tour

Experience the UNESCO World Heritage site of Segovia from the sky and the ground in a hot air balloon and a guided walking tour. Fly over the Cathedral and Alcázar Real before exploring the Aqueduct with a local guide. Begin your day with a comfortable, early morning ride from Madrid to Segovia for an early morning hot air balloon flight. Arrive in time to see the inflation of the balloon and receive instructions from your pilot before taking off. During the 1-hour flight, soar over the Aqueduct, Cathedral, and Alcázar Real at heights of up to 1,000 meters and learn how the balloon works from your pilot. After landing, enjoy champagne, breakfast, and a certificate. Once your tour has finished, receive pictures and videos from your flight. Depending on your option selected, continue the tour with a guided walking tour of the Roman Aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel at this historic 1st-century monument, considered Spain's most important example of Roman-era civil engineering. Next, see Spain's last built Gothic cathedral and the former royal palace and fortress, the Alcázar Rea. Stand on a cliff at the confluence of two rivers near the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range and enjoy the view of the fortress and rivers. At the end of your tour, enjoy some free time in Segovia for lunch. Ask your guide for tips on the best place to taste the typical cochinillo (roast suckling pig). After lunch, head back to the center of Madrid in a comfortable minibus.

What people are saying about Alcázar of Segovia

this is the first time I ride on a hot air balloon. I glance over many source and only this provide transfer to & from Madrid.+ local guided tour. though we do not get access to the Segovia Cathedral, we were then provided with second round of breakfast, which is very good. the best part of the tour is the balloon tour coped with the sunrise time, Bravo. the only thing which they can better ooyr experience if they can let us had our photo and video back since it's been a week and we still do not get our 'memories' back.

In a word, wonderful! It’s been on my bucket list for years. Perfect day, and to see Segovia from the air was spectacular. Can’t recommend it highly enough but I do recommend you pack something to eat as it was a very early start and I was extremely hungry at the end of it. A flask of hot coffee would have been a good idea also. Not to be missed, and I’d do it again.

oh what a great experience! The eagle eye view of Segovia and the Alcazar in the morning with sun at the horizon. it's a spectacle to behold. The guides were fun and got us all involved in packing of hot air balloon by the end of the trip making it more immersive experience!

This was awesome. We didn’t do the walking tour part but the balloon ride was very fun. Next time I am bringing a warm hat, gloves, and a sweater, cause it was very cold! I went the last week in September.

It was wonderful. The guide was helpful and knowledgable
