After pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, you'll drive towards Alexandria, stopping along the way to use the bathroom and get a coffee. Upon arrival, start your tour of this ancient city. Head towards the marble-stone Roman amphitheater of Kom El-Deka that once accommodated over 800 visitors. Enjoy the sights of its pleasure garden and mosaic floored Roman baths and villas. Afterward, move on to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa where you can feel the aura of ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman architectural excellence. The cemetery was constructed in the second century AD and is still one of the seven wonders of the middle ages. Next, visit Pompey's Pillar, the significant Roman triumphal column in Alexandria. Savor a delicious lunch from a local restaurant and then enjoy an outside photo stop at the Library of Alexandria, one of the largest and most renowned archives of the ancient world. Later, visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built above the ruined Alexandria lighthouse. At the end of the tour, you'll be driven back to Cairo or Giza to be dropped off at your accommodation.

After being picked up from your hotel, you will travel to Alexandria. You will first visit the insides of the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, which is the largest Roman Cemetery and consists of three levels cut into rock. Next, you will drive to visit the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria, complete with the display of the sunken monuments of Alexandria which were discovered under the East Harbor of Alexandria. You will also drive by Pompay’s Pillar, where you will stop for a photo break. Your next stop will be to the library of Alexandria, which is the biggest library in the world, consisting of 8 million books. You can visit its open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. You will visit president Saddat Museum, and impressions of Alexandria Museum. The car will then take you to visit the church of St. Mark, the oldest church in Africa. Through your drive you will see the old downtown and the local historical architecture which has Baroque-style designs and Italian and French-style properties. Y You will also drive by Abbo Elabbas Mosque (Photo stop) the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, and the strangest sight outside it: an old funfair where children play on very antique funfair rides and eat candy floss. Opposite is the corniche and the old harbor where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. You will then continue to see the outside of Quaitbay Castle, which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Visit Montazah Palace Gardens, the royal gardens of King Farouk, the last king in Egypt's history, and pause for a photo by King Farouk's royal palace, as well as the royal beaches of the queens.

Step back in time as you explore the history of Alexandria on a day trip from Cairo. See the city’s oldest market area which contains both the women’s markets and the most spectacular gold market where everyone buys their wedding jewelry. See the prettiest and largest mosque in the city, the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, and the ancient fun-fair located just outside of it where children still play. Opposite is the corniche and old harbor where you can see fishing boats and traditional fishers making nets. From here, walk 5 minutes to see Quaitbay Castle. Admire the Memorial of the Unknown Soldier and marvel at the beautiful coastline on the way to Mamoura Beach Resort, located east of Montaza's royal gardens. Walk along the corniche of Maamourah. All of these will make for excellent photo opportunities, so don't forget your camera. Finally, cross over the modern Bridge of Stanley before traveling in comfort back to your hotel.

Day 2: In the morning drive to Alexandria, and upon your arrival explore the area of Kom El-Deka, once an affluent residential area in Greco-Roman times. Continue on to the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages. After the catacombs head to a local restaurant for lunch before going to the Great Library of Alexandria in Alexandria, which was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. Your last stop in Alexandria is the Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15-century defensive fortress by the sea. From here you will be taken back to your hotel in Cairo. Day 3: Drive to the airport in the morning and hop on your flight to Luxor. Upon your arrival in Luxor, your driver will be waiting for you outside the airport. From the airport head to the East Bank to visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. After exploring the temples, enjoy a felucca ride on the river before being dropped off at the cruise ship where you will stay for the next 3 nights. Day 4: Wake up early for a hot air balloon ride over Luxor. After landing your guide will be waiting for you to head to the West Bank of Luxor to visit the Valley of the Kings. Then move on to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Conclude your day back on the ship with dinner. Day 5: After breakfast on board, take a horse-drawn carriage to Edfu. Take a guided visit to the Temple of Horus before having a buffet lunch back on board the cruise ship as you sail to your next destination. In the afternoon, visit the unusual Temple of Kom Ombo and then return to the boat for dinner. Day 6: In the early morning, head to one of the most stunning temple complexes in Egypt, Abu Simbel Temples, for a small-group tour. From the tour, your guide will take you back to the cruise ship to pick up your luggage. You will then be transferred to Aswan Airport to take the flight back to Cairo.
