Discover Pompey's Pillar a triumphal column built at the 3rd century AD, to honor the name of the Roman Emperor Augustus Diocletian. Visit Qaitbay Citadel, it was built by Sultan Qaitbay at the 15th century AD, to protect the country and the Muslim Mamluk dynasty from the Ottoman (Turkish) threaten.
