Full description

Leave behind the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam by taking a ferry to the countryside and embarking on an e-bike tour just outside the city.

Cycle through Broek in Waterland past canals, bridges, and historical farms with a guide. Then, visit an authentic cheese farm to see how cheese and clogs are made.

Start your bike tour by taking the ferry to the north side of Amsterdam. See the Amsterdam Tower and the Eye Film Museum, a unique introduction to Amsterdam's Old Holland area. Afterward, cycle through the natural area of Waterland. This flat landscape offers views of moments that feel lost in time, as you encounter expansive fields and traditional Dutch farmers going about their daily lives. Cycle through the ancient villages of Broek, where time seems to have completely stopped. The land is protected by kilometers of dikes and pumping stations, allowing picturesque villages to blossom, and the region to become a hot spot for outdoor activities on land and on water. Finally, visit a windmill, and a local farm that produces cheese that is exported around the world.

It was a wonderful day out on the bikes. The E-bikes are fantastic and make it possible for many more people to be able to do these tours. The E-bikes are very little effort and you don't have to be fit at all. Our Guide (Aldo) was very kind and knowledgable. We learnt a lot on the ride. Definitely a MUST when you are in Amsterdam!

We booked the e-bike tour because we wanted to see the countryside outside of Amsterdam. This tour did not disappoint! We had a small group (maybe 10 riders) and we were able to stop and learn from Aldo all about the rural area we were biking through. Aldo took time to provide history on the area but also allowed us time to take pictures and enjoy the sights. The cheese shop at the end was wonderful and welcoming. Our trip took longer than the 3 hours - but personally we were very happy for that. It was all around perfect. So amazing to experience the Netherlands outside of the city as well. Highly recommend this over a city tour and highly recommend Aldo! :)

It was great to get out to the surrounding villages and farms. I think an investment in larger and better padded seats would make a huge difference. By the end of the tour I was very sore. I also think a vox operated radio system would keep informed everyone. unless you were riding alongside the guide you would not hear the commentary. Lastly, more time explaining how the gears and power settings worked would have made the tour much more comfortable for some who did not know how to get out of low gears. That made it a little more dangerous for those riders and I think contributed to their crash.
