I took the city walking tour and I was amazed: I already knew Amsterdam is a very interesting city, but I was surprised it has such a rich history. Our guide Miguel was great, he explained many stories and funny things about Amsterdam and the Netherlands. We learned to know the city from different points of view and we got nice indications about good restaurants and bars. After the tour we had a cheese tasting, they explained us their cheese is made with traditional methods. We tried delicious cheeses (even a 3 years old one) and wines. Highly recommendable!
Our group of 4 from Canada met Rolf Schreuder, our guide, outside the Van Gogh museum. He was prompt and with us in tow, he guided us past the huge line-up outside and into the museum. Our tour lasted 2 hours, during which we were treated to an extremely detailed, chronological journey through the life of VVG. Rolf's depth of knowledge on this subject, and his passion for this artist was evident. Thank you from all of us for an awesome tour. You are a consummate professional and worth the booking. Our guide Nigel in Nuenen did a fabulous job as our guide. I enjoyed the lovely walk in the beautiful countryside while learning about the interesting life and times of VanGogh. Our driver was helpful and friendly. The VanGogh museum was a spectacular end to the day where we saw a immense amount of beautiful paintings by VanGogh and other great artists related to him. VanGogh was a genius who was too beautiful for this world! I am so happy I was privileged to have this awesome experience with my son Christian.
Rolf is well studied in Van Gogh’s life, works and techniques. He speaks perfect English (having lived in NYC), and was able to quickly gauge our group’s intersest and tailor our visit accordingly. This is a very busy museum, particularly in the Summer, and having a guide like Rolf to manage your time, focusing on the interesting and important pieces was invaluable. Highly recommend!
My daughter and I had such a great experience with Rolf as our guide. He had so very much information and told us information we would not have received with an audio. He was prompt and we had no trouble meeting in front of the museum. He is truly an asset to your company. Would definitely recommend Rolf and Get Your Guide. Bravo!
