Day 1: Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive to Epidaurus, and pay a visit to the archaeological site and to the theatre, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Continue on to Nauplia for a short stop. Next, drive to Mycenae where you will visit the fascinating archaeological site. Depart for Olympia, passing through the central Peloponnese area and passing the cities of Megalopolis and Tripolis. Finally, arrive in Olympia for dinner and overnight stay. There is also a possibility of staying in Nauplia instead. (Dinner included). Day 2: In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum of Olympia. Drive via Patras to Rion, cross the channel to Antirion on the state of the art suspension bridge, known as the longest and most modern in Europe. Arrive in Nafpaktos, then continue to Delphi. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Delphi. (Breakfast and dinner included). Day 3: First, visit the archaeological site and the museum of Delphi. Depart for Kalambaka, passing through Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala. Arrive in Kalambaka, and savor a dinner before your overnight stay. (Breakfast and dinner included). Day 4: In the morning, visit the breathtaking Meteora. In the early afternoon, start the drive back to Athens passing via Thermopylae and Kammena Vourla. (Breakfast included). Discover the ruins of the city of Mycenae on a day trip from Athens. Explore the archeological site, home to the Lionesses Gate, and the tomb of King Agamemnon. Afterwards, make a short stop in the village of Epidaurus and see its Hellenic theatre. Drive along the scenic coastal road of the Saronic Gulf, and arrive at the archeological site of Mycenae. Begin your journey with a stop at the archaeological site of Mycenae. Here you can find the famous temple of Apollo and the steps of Apostle Paul. Head towards the ancient Epidaurus and explore the ancient theatre, one of the most famous archaeological monuments in Greece. Visit the Asclepieion of Epidaurus, the healing temple of serious diseases in ancient Greece. See the monuments that developed around the Asclepieion, most notably the temple of Asklepios, Tholos and others. The tour ends with your return to Nafplion.

Leaving Athens behind we drive on the coastal road towards the West. Our first stop (after approximately one hour) is the Corinth Canal. There we’ll make a short stop, enough to see the Canal, (approximately 6 km long connecting the Aegean with the Ionian Sea), take photos and visit the local cafeteria. Driving through the winding roads of Corinthia and Sofiko, we are going to visit Epidaurus, famous for it’s ancient theatre and the sanctuary of Asclepios. The sanctuary of Asclepios was a healing centre as well as a cultural centre in ancient times. Epidaurus was built around the 4th Century B.C. and has a multitude of buildings most famous of which is the ancient Theatre of Epidaurus. The Theatre of Epidaurus has reached our days almost intact. The view, aesthetics and acoustics of the theatre are breathtaking. It’s still in use today and hosts carefully selected theatrical plays, concerts, and festivals during the summer. For an actor to perform in the Theatre of Epidaurus is considered the greatest honour and the ultimate acknowledgement of his or her talent, if he wins over the tough audience. After concluding our visit to Epidaurus we’ll drive through the plain of Argolis, among thousands of olive trees and vineyards, thirty minutes later we’ll arrive to the picturesque town of Nafplion (First capital of modern Greece, from 1829 to 1834). Nafplion is the most ancient city in Greece. According to the myth it was founded by Theseas who first conceived the idea of organized cities where people could live together. The city lies under the imposing rocks of Palamide the most formidable Venetian Castle in the Eastern Mediterranean. The smaller Castle of Acronafplia (where the ancient city was founded) crowns Naflion and at the entrance of the harbor, in the Argolic Gulf, there is yet another, third Castle, Bourtzi, situated on a small islet. Whether you decide to have lunch in the old medieval quarter, with the narrow, stoned paved streets, or by the port, with the view of Bourtzi, Nafplion is the best choice for lunch in this trip. Driving afterwards among endless farms of orange trees we’ll arrive at the archaeological site of Mycenae. Mycenae, 'Rich in Gold', was the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon, who dominated the Aegean Sea after the distraction of the Minoan Empire. The city looks out across the plain of Argos to the sea. It’s elevated position and it’s huge Cyclopean Walls, offered protection from surprise attacks by pirates and enemies. At the peak of its power (1300 B.C.) the population leaved around the fortress where the Royal Family had its Palace. The Palace, symbol of power of the Mycenaean rulers, was reached by a large ramp beginning at the Lions Gate. Outside the fortress lie the impressive beehive tombs including that ascribed to Agamemnon known also as the Treasury of Atreas. After concluding our visit to Mycenae we’ll start the return trip to Athens. Your personal local driver, will provide commentary in fluent English, en-route, before you visit the sites.

Your tour starts from Nafplion, from where you will begin driving through the Argolic Plane towards Epidaurus. Your first stop will be to an olive oil production plant where you stroll around the premises. Here you will learn in detail about the interesting production process and it's stories. You will also sample Greek olive oil, olives, and some various delicacies based around it. Next, you will continue your tour to Ancient Epidaurus, where you will explore the ancient theater of one of the most famous archaeological monuments in Greece. You will also visit the Asclepieion of Epidaurus, which was the center for healing serious diseases for the whole of ancient Greece. Many monuments developed around it, most notably the temple of Asklepios and Tholos. At the conclusion of your tour, you will be returned to Nafplion.

After gathering with your group, you'll head west along a beautiful scenic route on your way to the Corinth Canal. Following a short break there, your next destination will be ancient Corinth. During ancient times, the town of Corinth was considered one of the richest cities in Greece, due to the remains of the Temple of Apollo the Ancient Agora. This is also the place where Saint Paul preached and lived for about two years of his life. Following that exploration you will drive through vineyards and olive trees on the way to Mycenae. It will be there that you will visit the famous Cyclopean Walls around the Acropolis of Mycenae, as well as the Tomb of King Atreus. From there you will continue by visiting the first capital city of the Democracy of Greece, the beautiful city of Nafplion which boasts the fortified islet of Bourtzi. Finally, on your way back to Athens you will visit the ancient theater of Epidaurus.

DAY 1: ATHENS - ARGOLIS - SPARTA: Mete your driver at the lobby of your hotel at 08.30 to start your adventure with hotel pickup in Athens and drive along the mainland coast to the Peloponnese. Stop at the Canal of Corinth before reaching the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus. Stop for lunch or a coffee break in Nafplio, the first capital city of Modern Greece. Then, continue to the archaeological site of Mycenae and spend the night in Sparta. DAY 2: SPARTA - MYSTRAS - MONEMVASIA – SPARTA: The driver pick you up at 08.30 at your hotel to visit the Museum of Olive Oil in Sparta. Discover the Byzantine town of Mystras and be captivated by its medieval splendor. Visit the famous Tower Town of the Peloponnese, Monemvassia, a mystical stone-built settlement. Wander around its narrow cobbled streets and admire the beautifully restored stone buildings. Return to Sparta in the late afternoon and spend the night. Day 3: SPARTA - ANCIENT OLYMPIA: After breakfast, the driver pick you up form your hotel at 08.30 and leave Sparta and make a quick stop at the picturesque coastal town of Gythi. Then, make your way to Areopolis and Diros, famous for its subterranean caves that are part of an underground river. Visit the local museum and then continue to some of the most beautiful places of Southern Peloponnese. Visit the coastal villages of Stoupa and Kardamili for swimming or lunch. Then, arrive at Ancient Olympia to stay overnight. DAY 4: ANCIENT OLYMPIA - DELPHI: Mete your private driver at 08.30 at the lobby of your hotel to start your day with a visit to the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia and its museum. Leaving Ancient Olympia, cross over the bridge of Rio-Antirio, one of the biggest in Europe, to reach Naupactus, where you can enjoy lunch. Then, make your way to Delphi for an overnight stay. DAY 5: DELPHI - METEORA: After breakfast, the driver pick you up form your hotel at 08.30 to visit the archaeological site and museum of Delphi. Then, continue to the village of Arachova, the most bustling winter destination in Greece. Continue to Kalambaka, a small traditional town that is built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks of the Meteora Monasteries. Stay in Kalambaka for overnight. DAY 6: METEORA - ATHENS: Meet your private driver at your hotel at 009.00 to start your day early to visit the monasteries of Meteora, built on top of towering rocks. End your tour of the monasteries in the picturesque village of Kalambaka for a traditional Greek lunch. Afterwards, return to Athens with a stop at Thermopiles to admire the statue of Leonidas. End your tour with drop-off at your hotel in Athens.

Day 1: Corinth - Gog Railway - Kalavryta - Nafplio: After pickup from your hotel in Athens, start the tour with a visit to the Canal of Corinth and the town of Ancient Corinth. Hop on the Cog Railway which links Kalavrita via Vouraikos Canyon, continue the trip to magnificent "Cave of Lakes. Stay overnight in Nafplio. Day 2: Nafplio - Mycenae - Epidaurus: After your breakfast, stroll through the narrow streets of Nafplio full of old mansions. Visit Palamidi castle with its panoramic view, the Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for the breathtaking acoustics, and the ancient town of Mycenae. Stay in the town of Olympia overnight. Day 3: Olympia - Delphi: Visit Ancient the local museum and the site where the first Olympic Games took place in 776 BC. See the ruins of the temple of Zeus, the temple of Hera, the Treasury houses, the Gymnasium, and Palestra. Leaving Ancient Olympia, pass by the bridge of Rion-Antirion and reach Delphi where you will stay overnight. Day 4: Delphi - Meteora: Explore the town of Delphi, the Ancient Oracle, Stadium, Ancient Theatre, and the Museum of Delphi. Delphi is perhaps best known for the oracle at the sanctuary that was dedicated to Apollo during the classical period. Stop at the village of Arachova and then Meteora for an overnight stay. Day 5: Meteora - Athens Explore Meteora and its fantastic scenery of historic monasteries containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing between earth and sky atop huge rocks. Visit the monastery of Varlaam, Grand Meteoro, or the monastery of St. Stephan depending on the day day of the tour. Stop at Thermopiles before heading to Athens. Day 6: Private Tour of Athens Explore Athens on a private tour. See Panathinaiko Stadium, Zappeion, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, and the Parliament.
