Berlin: Jewish Heritage and History Private Guided Tour

4. Berlin: Jewish Heritage and History Private Guided Tour

The Jews were spread worldwide after being exiled from their land. Many settled in Europe, staying steadfast in keeping their old faith and customs amid constant persecutions. Germany, including Berlin, excluded the Jews from normal life, but the Jews were persistent and eventually received full rights as citizens. From isolated ghettos and communities, the Jews climbed to high social positions in economy, science, culture and the new emerging democratic politics of Germany until the Nazis took power. The tour will tell the story of Jews in Germany and the Nazi attempt to eradicate them from Europe.

We had just taken the Charité tour on Friday so when we strolled up for this one and saw the same tour guide, we knew we were in for another treat. Susanne is such a dynamic presenter and it's crazy how much information she knows and delivers. This is one of the coolest parts of the city so a little behind-the-scenes is worth seeing!

We always use the Berlin card for travel and discount, used to get discount for admission to the zoo but not anymore this was a disappointment but we still visited the zoo anyway. And the travel system around Berlin is amazing and well worth every penny.

Having the card did greatly help to get around without worrying about paying for tickets .. very convenient

Great if you will be in Berlin for a few days. The public transport is super easy to use.

It was most enjoyable tour. I saw so many new parts of Berlin.
