From Antalya: Perge, Side, Aspendos & Waterfalls Guided Tour

1. From Antalya: Perge, Side, Aspendos & Waterfalls Guided Tour

Visit 3 ancient cities in one day with a professional guide, followed by an excursion into nature in Kursunlu Falls National Park. Start your journey into history with a visit to the ancient city of Perge, an impressive archaeological site containing a wealth of ancient ruins, mostly dating back to the Roman period. See the gigantic amphitheater, stadium, Roman gates, city walls, Roman baths, and more. Walk through the 500-meter-long main street with numerous columns, fountains, and the acropolis dating back to the Bronze Age.   Continue on to Aspendos, situated on the banks of the Köprüçay River. Once one of the most important cities in Pamphylia, Aspendos is now a very popular tourist sight famous for the Roman amphitheatre built in 155 AD. The theatre of Aspendos is one of the best-preserved examples of Roman theatre architecture in the world. Walk up its tiered steps and admire the beauty of its galleries, which are still in use today.   After lunch, explore the ancient ruins of Side, which date from the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine eras. Walk through the ancient city to admire its fountains, city walls, agora, amphitheatre, marble columns, and much more. The most spectacular sight is the temple of Apollo, where you can take in stunning views over the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea.   On the way back to Antalya, enjoy a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring in the Kursunlu Waterfalls. Enjoy the green environment, fresh air, pine scent, cool atmosphere, and spectacular falls.

Historical Antalya: Private Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

3. Historical Antalya: Private Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

Go on a journey through the history of Antalya on a full-day private sightseeing tour, traveling by luxury air-conditioned vehicle. Following a pick-up from your hotel, start with a leisurely walk through the lively streets of Turkey’s most important city for tourism. Antalya was once Turkey's fastest growing city - it has been usurped by Istanbul - and the multitude of high rise apartment blocks are evidence of this speedy growth. However, the center of Antalya is a different story, where new development and restoration of historic buildings is carefully controlled. Despite its growth, Antalya maintains a small town feel, with lovely Ottoman houses. Next, drive to the Düden Waterfalls, formed by the Düden River, one of the major rivers in southern Anatolia. See where the waters of the Lower Düden fall off a rocky cliff directly into the Mediterranean Sea. Continue to the ruins of Aspendos, and admire the best-preserved theater of antiquity, which once provided seating for up to 7,000 eager spectators. The last site on your tour is the ancient Greek city of Perge, once the capital of Pamphylia, situated between the Rivers Catarrhactes and Cestrus. Walk among the ruins of the theater, churches, palæstra, and Temple of Artemis, once the most eminent building of Perge.

One of the best tours I have taken. Organization/logistics was on point: time of pick up was as stated, reasonable time given at locations to see around, lunch was very good. The van/minibus was very comfortable as well and the drive went smooth with good music. Guide was excellent. Sites were very impressive. Even though it was very cold and windy it was a very very nice day due to all activities!! Definitely a tour to take with this company. (One additional plus side: for this tour we did not do a stop at a local shop/vendor, so this was highly appreciated after having several tours shortened the exploration time at sites due to a 30-40 min detour for an expensive shop).

There was a slight confusion as to pick up times but everything else was near perfect on the trip. I wanted to visit all these places with a taxi but this was definitely the better option mainly due to Ibrahim who is the best tour guide I have experienced. I wanted to visit the Kursunloo waterfall but we went to another waterfall. Nonetheless, we made several other stops which made up for it I guess. I would definitely use this company again. There were plenty of loo breaks and even a stop for lunch which all helped my pregnant wife. This was the best day of my holiday!

It was really cool. Mustafa is a wonderful guide. He told and showed a lot. It can be seen that he himself likes what he does. Picked up early in the morning from a hotel in Antalya (Konyalti) and only arrived in the evening. In the morning it was cool, in the afternoon it was quite hot and the sun was beating down, definitely take something on your head and water with you.

The guide was invested in his work and sets the mood. The places are stylish. The guide gives us time for the photos
