Full description

During the walk, you will explore the Market Square with the Town Hall and the beautiful Golden Age Guild Houses, the Cathedral of Our Lady with The Elevation of the Cross and The Descent from the Cross by Rubens, Saint-Paul's Church, the harbor and the Jewish district. You can visit Rubens' former house during the lunch break. In the former home and studio of the master, you will embark on a fascinating journey back in time and into the world of this great baroque artist. There is a lot of modern architecture in Antwerp, for example, the new Palace of Justice by Richard Rogers, the Museum aan de Stroom by Neutelings & Riedijk and the new Port House by Zaha Hadid. Downtown you can reflect on all you have seen and learnt with a nice Belgian beer.

Patrick replaced Roger who was unavailable that day but the interest of the visit did not suffer at all: we had to deal with a real passionate and lover of Antwerp who made us want to come back to maybe take advantage be longer of his knowledge of the history of the city and its little secrets. Thanks to him for these few hours of sharing

Patrik s'est révélé un guide très sympathique, racontant plein d'anecdotes sur l'histoire de la ville....tellement que nous ne sommes malheureusement pas arrivés au Steen ou à l'hôtel de villeen partant de la gare centrale... Nous étions un groupe de 25 personnes, et donc, au milieu des autres touristes et personnes circulant un dimanche matin dans les rues de la ville, nous aurions apprécié avoir des écouteurs et le guide un micro, de façon à ce que chacun puisse entendre correctement tout ce qui se disait...
