This was not our original tour but there was not enough participation for that tour to proceed so we did the next best thing. We had a private walking tour of the Basilica. Our guide was great and walked us all around beautiful Assisi. She is extremely knowledgeable and explained about St. Francis and his life, the church as well as St. Clare. She also told us about the area. It rained a little in the afternoon but was a great day - so peaceful and beautiful.

Gabriel, our tour guide took us around the beautiful streets of Assisi, sharing all his knowledge and history of the city and its main characters. We found the 3 hours tour a valuable experience which was enriched by his insight.
