Meteora is amazing and it's a must when you're in athens. Train's tickets arrived on time and despite the huge amount of people that took our same train your places are booked, so no worries. The bus waiting for us at the station was bigger and more comfortable than the one in the pictures and all the monasteries we visited were beautiful (and the views were truly breathtaking). The guide, Maria, was the "perfect guide" in my opinion but the only problem was the train we took to come back to athens. Despite the schedule, the train arrived with nearly 1 hour delay and we arrived in athens at 23:30 pm (however, it has to be said that it is not their fault!). Overall, I'd definitely still advice this experience to everyone who stays in athens!

Pros: the tour guide, driver and car were excellent. they did their best. scenery was amaaaaazing and view was very nice. everything was well organized and they deserve full rate Cons: the train part was HORRIBLE...very long journey without any internet connection along the road or wifi. like prison. you showld download stuff to watch in train or sleep. I don't recommend this trip if you stay less than 4 days in athens due to the long train journey.

Amazing experience! Definitely recommend!! The guide Nikolas (Nicholas) was very knowledgeable with his explanations throughout the tour. Although he did not follow us into the monasteries, he explained what we should expect to see just before we entered! The train ride from Athens to Kalampaka is really long (4 hours+ each way), but I think it’s worth it as the vibes are totally different from Athens. Our tour group had 2 pairs meaning there are 4 people in the group, which meant that we got a lot attention. We visited 3 monasteries (€3 ea.) each of them had their own unique charm, which was really eye opening. Note: ladies remember to wear long skirts because otherwise you have to buy a scarf for €3.5 to wrap like a skirt. (Even for long pants)
