    Full description

    You will independently take the train from Athens train station at 7:57 AM to Kalabaka and admire the beautiful Greek landscapes during your trip to Meteora. Arriving in Kalabaka at 12:05 PM, be picked up from the train station and transferred to check into your reserved hotel. After lunch, prepare yourself for the Meteora majestic sunset tour. You will be picked up from your hotel in the afternoon and after the tour be brought back to your hotel or to Kalabaka town for a short walk. The next morning at 09:00 AM, be picked up from your hotel and join a comprehensive Meteora morning tour or a Meteora hiking tour. For the next 4-hours, you have the chance to experience all the beauty of the unique phenomenon of Meteora and the holy monasteries on top of the rock giants. After the tour ends, transfer back to your hotel where you can get ready for your departure back to Athens. Your train will depart at 6:22 PM and you will reach Athens at approximately 10:30 PM.

    Fantastic tour of this spectacular corner of the world. I was surprised to find myself the only person on this 2 day 1 night tour. After the four hour train ride from Athens I was picked up at the train station and delivered to my hotel.Rex Hotel was perfect except I was the only guest. (A large tour bus showed up later.) I had four hours on my own for lunch and shopping in the charming town of Kalambaka. A small van with 7 other tourists picked me up at 4:00 pm for an excellent 4 hour tour - entrance into one monastery and a tour of the Byzantine Church. Guide Dimitri was incredibly knowledgeable. We drove around all the monasteries with plenty of photo stops and Sunset Rock. Amazing! However do not confuse this with a Hiking Tour - it is not. The second day was a four hour tour with 3 other people- entrance into 3 monasteries. Great to get amazing photos in morning and afternoon sun. Then a couple hours free time for lunch before catching the train back to Athens. Meteora is amazing!

    I had a lovely time touring Meteora with group ! I booked a two days tour, sunset and morning. Everyone in the company from driver to manager were all helpful and friendly. Tour guides have a lot of passion to the area and love to the town so pay close attention and enjoy.

    This was my top experience in Greece and that's saying a lot since I spent three weeks there doing different activities every day. Absolutely stunning and once in a life time experience. The guide was great too. Super knowledgeable and friendly. Note that the temples have strict rules about what you wear. Especially as a female. I recommend wearing a semi-long to long dress as it solves the issues, but note that you must wear a skirt regardless and it has to cover most of your legs. Your shoulders too. Males can't wear shorts either, but double check since I wasn't paying attention to the "male" rules. They are strict about it. Meaning they will deny you entry. Also now that it requires going up a lot of stairs so wear comfortable shoes and be ready for a workout when visiting the temples.
