A ton of information and a very beautiful and special place. Worth the long train ride for sure. I was looking to kind of venture off a bit so perhaps a guided tour wasn’t the way to go. But even so there was enough time to kind of walk around and do your own thing even at all the stops. If you’re looking to venture then I’d probably suggest just taking a car up and down. Otherwise if you want a tour and lots of great information about this amazing place. Then highly recommend. Very glad I went.

Train to Kalambaka was pleasant. The mini bus was comfortable, the driver very accommodating, even offering us bottles of cold water. Our tour guide Maria was amazing. She had a wealth of knowledge, both historically and personally as she grew up in the area. She made this trip one of a kind. The monestaries were spectacular. The views were breathtaking. I would encourage everyone to experience Meteora. As a side note the train back was delayed twice and was without basic toiletries, maybe pack accordingly. Take snacks!!

The Meteora was a beautiful site to see. The train ride there and back was long so bring a book or other entertainment with you. Once I figured out how to get to the train station everything else was easy. Nick was a wonderful tour guide, I learned so much and it is impossible to take a bad picture there. This does require physical activity walking up an incline or lots of stairs
