Full description

Your wonderful trip will start with a pick-up from your hotel in Athens around 9:00 in the morning. On the way to Meteora, enjoy a trip that will give you the chance to admire the beauty of the countryside with comfort and safety. Upon arriving at Kalabaka at approx 12:30 pm make a short stop to relax and enjoy a coffee overviewing Meteora. For the next 4 hours you will have the chance to see all the monasteries and the amazing phenomenon of Meteora while an expert local guide who will give you all the information and the historical background of the area. You will also have the chance to visit inside 2 -3 popular monasteries and take photos from the best panoramic spots. This wonderful tour will be completed at the picturesque villages of Kalabaka or Kastraki, where you will have a traditional Greek lunch before heading back to Athens.

Meteora is far from Athens but so much worth the trip. It was a long ride but everybody did enjoy. Drivers were excellent. And our guide, Christos, was really good and took the time to explain everything to us. Only improvement is that the guide should always have a microphone in the van. The people seated in the back were not hearing very well the explanations. Definitely recommend this tour. Long day but Meteora are unique in the world !
