My sister and I did a girls trip to Atlanta and chose this tour to learn more about Atlanta's history and sample some of the restaraunts. Our tour guide Michael was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, outgoing and personable. You could tell that he enjoys his job. We had a relatively small group (6 people) amd he kept us engaged and answered any questions we had. The food was a good mix of sweets and savory. We started at Krog market at JOI HO (an Indian restaraunt) which was my favorite as well as The Albert. Walked alomg part of the beltway, and ended at Inman Park at Voga (gelato). I would definitely recommend this tour.
Great tour. Michael, the tour guide was very knowledgeable, organized, and fun. The food was good and plentiful, however, not southern food. Food was Indian, Italian, Puerto Rican, pastries, and chicken wings. The only Southern food was boiled peanuts. The cocktail was good. We were able to sit down at each tasting except for the donut on the go. Thorough walking tour of Inman Park. The walk was advertised as two miles and three hours, but it was actually four miles and four hours. But worth it. I recommend you do the tour in cooler weather. It was a great tour combining Beltline walk, Atlanta history, and good tastings.
Our guide, Emily from Unexpected Atlanta, did an excellent job with our tour on August 23. Knowledgeable, articulate and engaging, we could not have hoped for a better guide for this meaningful experience. My wife and I were traveling with three of our grandchildren, ages 16, 14 and 10. Emily made the tour as or more relevant for them than we might even have hoped for. All around, an outstanding experience! I strongly recommend Emily to others who will take this tour.
Although we didn't get to tour many of the historical buildings because of COVID restrictions we did see photos and some video. Mostly it was the ambience of the area and learning morning about the cvil rights movement and the leaders. Truly interesting.
Emily was amazing! I learned so much and the 2 hour tour ended much too quickly! She brought history to life. Highly recommend this tour!
