Half day trip to Ourika Valley. Marone our driver was excellent, he stopped off at a couple of places for us to get some pictures. He explained a bit about the history of marrakech on the way and explained the Amazigh (berber) culture. We stopped off for breakfast, which was made for us by a female association who produce argan oil. Inside we got a tour of how it was all made from the ladies, giving us samples of their products. We then drove up to meet our guide Abdul, who took us up the mountain. The climb itself is fairly moderate to easy, depending on your fitness. We reached a cafe with a view of the waterfall, stopping for a short break before heading back down, the other side of the waterfall. We thought the morning tour were perfectly enough time there and topped off our holiday as we were flying back home that evening.

Book this tour! we had a great time and really appreciated that we arrived in the valley before the other tourists so our hike was very quiet. We could stop for photos and our tour guide (driver) Abdul was so friendly and informative. He can answer anything about Morocco! The breakfast was lovely and peaceful (toilets are in the cafe) and we were even given water for the hike. The hike guide was helpful and cheerful. A brilliant morning out and unbelievable scenery!

This half day experience is very fulfilling and is an awesome trip. We were concerned that we wouldn't get much out of a half day but it was a perfect time to see an authentic Moroccan village. The guide was very knowledgable and each stop was spent taking pictures and learning more about the Berber culture. Overall a great day out and well worth the money. The hike is not for the light hearted and could be difficult for the less abled or elderly. But well worth it if you can manage the climb.
