Full description
Your driver will pick you up from your Marrakech accommodation in the morning to begin your drive to the valley. Along the way you’ll get your first glimpses of the High Atlas Mountains including snow capped peaks, depending on the time of year. You will visit a women cooperative for argan trees then take a camel ride in Moulay Brahim Valley. You will arrive at your host's home and take a short walk through the village to the family home. Enjoy a fresh breakfast of all local products before you take a longer walk through the villages and valley (optional). Before lunch, visit the historic 12th Century Tin Mal Mosque as well as see how clay tajines are made – and possibly try your hand at making them as well. After you’ve worked up an appetite, return to the family home and dig into a delicious home cooked lunch with seasonal products. Your driver will return to bring you back to Marrakech. This experience gives you an opportunity to see life in a local Berber village.

What a great day! We traveled with Hassan our driver who took great care of us and gave us information during our trip. We first stopped at a women-run argon oil cooperative where we were able to have breakfast. Then, short stop for camel riding. The best is yet to come, we continue our journey, the landscapes are sublime, we are amazed. We arrive in Ijoukak where our guide Lahsen makes us discover the Tinmal mosque, one word: superb! We are then invited to lunch at Lahsen and are welcomed like kings, the meal was delicious. We then leave for a super nice little walk where we were able to try making pottery in this very quiet village, far from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. If you are looking for an exotic and above all non-touristy activity, I highly recommend this excursion. This is the one we preferred.

Exotic experience, driver and perfect guide. Improvement points: no prior contact with the receptive - I had to contact him twice - departure of the excursion 1 hour late compared to the indicated schedule - we had to cancel our end-of-day meetings - Please note: the mentioned sites have a panorama stop - the journey takes 2.5 hours to the mosque with a photo break on the way. Camel ride or horse ride: avoid - unless really a first experience - try, 30 minutes back and forth on a stony roadside road - no breathtaking scenery, ??????
