Enjoy a private hotel pickup and transfers on this combined tour from Krakow. Get pickup from your hotel and travel to the Auschwitz I Museum to begin your walking tour with a certified educator. Explore the remains of the Nazi camp's barracks, watchtowers, and crematoriums. With the help of the provided headset, listen as your guide tells about the ghastly Nazi crimes committed in the camps and hear stories of the everyday lives of the prisoners. Next, continue the tour at the Auschwitz-Birkenau II Memorial. Witness gas chambers and the remains of the railway which transported prisoners to the camps. After a lunch break, drive to the nearby town of Wieliczka to visit its famous salt mine. Prearranged tickets will be waiting for you at the salt mine along with a local guide. Start the tour inside the salt mine by walking down long sets of steps, taking you 135 meters underground and through labyrinthine passageways, tunnels, and shafts. See underground lakes, 4 chapels, and unique statues carved by miners out of rock salt. Experience a unique place to visit and a must-see during your stay in Krakow. Once the guided tour is over, take a lift from the underground back up to the main ground level to meet your driver. Relax as you make the journey back to your accommodation Krakow.

Although this trip is approx 10 hours, it really didn’t feel like it. Visiting the two camps is an absolute must when visiting krakow. It’s very harrowing, so sad, thought provoking but essential to ensure nothing like what happened here ever happens again. Visiting the salt mines after the camps was incredible and lifted our mood. Again the time spent here went in very quickly and our group of five absolutely loved it. Chapel chandeliers made from salt are stunning! Our driver collected us from our apartment on time and made sure we met with the tour guides for each attraction. He dropped us back off at the apartment too. I would highly recommend this trip .

Excellent driver, both as our chauffeur and as a guide, he gave us lots of extra info and sightseeing - thank you so much Patryk! 11 hour activity would seem like too much for one day, but we felt it was just perfect to end an emotional day with the fantastic salt mines. Restaurant at Birkenau were disapointing, too little to choose from and you could wait 30 minutes for one pizza..
