Flora was very nice but seemed more like a driver than a guide. I expected a lot more stories about Van Gogh and his life in Avignon than what she was able to share with us. I’m also not sure that the Carriere des Lumieres is worth it if it’s totally unrelated to Van Gogh or to Les Baux de Provence. Maybe replace it with a stop at an olive orchard or to see the sunflowers that appear in many of Van Gogh’s paintings. But the towns we visited were quite scenic and definitely worth the visit!

Whilst I enjoyed the overall tour, there was too much packed into 5 hours with no time for a lunch stop and barely time to go to the toilet. I was disappointed we only had 1 hour at carrieres des lumieres, as this only just covered the time to get in there and watch the films; no time for lunch, no time to look around, and no time to view the film about Vincent’s life. And then when we visited the hospital, the little shop was closed for the duration of our 40 min visit.

Nuestro Guía (Nicolas) fue excelente, amable, atento y muy profesional. Creemos que parte del éxito de este tour se debe a su excelente atención. El recorrido fue muy interesante, nuestro guía tenia conocimiento del tema y de la zonas que visitábamos. Nicolas te agradecemos que hallas logrado satisfacer los intereses de un grupo tan diverso.
