Our guide picked us up on time and took us to firstly Arles where vince van gogh lived most of his life and also later in St. Remy where he was in his asilum. He guided us to some of the main attractions in arles and told us many interesting facts about the history, why arles was the capital of Provence etc. We had a lot of free time also to explore the city by ourselfs afterwords. It just has an amazing vibe and you get the idea why Vincent stayed here to create his work.

With the time constraints of a 1/2 day trip, we saw as much as expected. Could have had longer at St Remy to allow more time to see where Van Gogh was in the asylum, especially as this was a Van Gogh tour. But Carrieres de Lumiere was amazing and the highlight, having long enough there to see the whole show, although longer time would always be good. Good walking tour in Arles, and our guide was very interesting and informative about Van Gogh . Overall very good.

The excellent guide, Remy, spoke clear and slow French so that everyone in the group (who spoke English and Hebrew, with a bit of French) could easily understand. He supplemented with English when needed. Our guide was very knowledgeable in a wide range of areas—art, history, botany—and he shared his knowledge very generously. When we asked a question, he could talk about it in depth, adding in his own opinions as well from time to time. In addition, he was exceedingly kind to one of our group who was having trouble walking. In addition, our tour included just the right amount of guide-time and free time when we could explore on our own. Plus, we saw just the things described in the description of the tour, with a couple of things I wasn’t expecting—nice. Finally, the tour started and ended on time, with no wasted time. And, I got to sit in front so I could see well. Perfect.
