This fascinating icon stands 348 metres high, although most of its mass is below ground level. You’ll be overwhelmed by its incredible size, presence and inherent spirituality.  Enjoy sparkling wine and nibbles while you begin to absorb the enormity and beauty of your surroundings. You can just relax or stroll around the Sunset Viewing Area to discover your own personal space to watch the amazing Uluru sunset.  Don’t forget to take a photo every few minutes to capture the famous colour change. Travel in a comfortable transfer from your hotel to the base of Uluru, an impressive sandstone rock formation. Upon arrival at the Segway base area, you'll be led by your fully qualified and knowledgeable guide into the iconic Mutitjulu Waterhole to explore its sights and sounds. This is one of Uluru's lesser-known hidden gems. You will also be taken to see some authentic Aboriginal rock art art. Your guide will provide you with Segway training, giving you a chance to take part in a short safety briefing and have a practice ride of your Segway. The tour will travel through the outback landscapes to the entrance of the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From this point, it is only a matter of minutes before the spectre of Uluru rises from the sand dunes to demonstrate its enormity and presence in this country. Your first step allows you a photographic opportunity of this amazing icon. With Uluru looming in front of you, journey toward the base. Walk with your guide to a place of tranquillity. The closer you wander the more you surrender to the realization of the sheer size of this monolith. As you drive around the base, your guide will take you to the entrance of Mutitjulu Waterhole, a semi-permanent watercourse nestled in the contours of Uluru. Here you will learn the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python) as well as a number of other stories associated with other prominent Tjukurpa (dreaming) stories. You will see the rock art of the ancients and learn how Uluru was, and still is, a significant location for teaching young Aboriginal people. You will then travel to Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park, a place where unique flora and fauna thrive. As you drive to Kata Tjuta you’ll notice the 36 domes that comprise Kata Tjuta . Your guide will meet you at the entrance of your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort, from where you will travel through the landscape to the entrance of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From there is it a 40-kilometre journey through the desert landscape to the mighty rock formation. On arrival at the viewing area, walk to the best vantage point to see the 36 domes that comprise this spiritual place while watching the sun's morning glow as the desert comes alive. Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation approximately one hour before sunrise in a comfortable vehicle fitting a maximum of 11 participants. Your journey then begins into Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park, as you head towards the base of Uluru to start your walk you’ll see the impressive monolith rising in the dawn light marking its overwhelming presence in the area. Your professional guide has been trained in all there is to know about Uluru: the flora, fauna, geology, Aboriginal culture, and history and can’t wait to share it with you making Uluru come to life as you walk around it. You’ll start walking before sunrise to the perfect location to view the spectacular event and marvel as the whole landscape changes under the first rays of light. Once you’ve returned to your starting destination your guide will take you back to your Ayers Rock accommodation.

Great mix of activities: Cultural Centre, walk to cave paintings and waterhole, wine and nibbles and sunset viewing, (although due to stormy weather and complete cloud cover we didn’t get to see an actual sunset). Guides were very good and very knowledgeable.

The most you can possibly make out of a one day trip to the outback :) it was a really lovely tour, that included all the must-do‘s! Especially the tour guide Glen and the driver Martin made the experience unique! Can highly recommend!

We really enjoyed the tour, John and Jakob made it extra special with their good sense of humour and overall kindness. The landscape is absolutely amazing and you just feel awed of such Beauty. So majestic!!

Our tour guide, Brandon is friendly, informative and caring. An incident happened during the tour and he handled it professionally. Cheers mate:)
