Full description

Prepare your stomach for a guided street food tour showcasing authentic Thai eats. Find out which Thai dishes you should try first, and sample 9 different street foods. You'll also discover some of Bangkok's beautiful temples and colorful street art as you walk.

After meeting your guide at the meeting point, begin your street food tour by heading to a fresh market to try roasted duck with rice at a famous local restaurant that's more than 100 years old.

Next, walk along Charoenkrung Road and pick up beloved street foods like Thai milk tea, mataba (stuffed pancakes), Thai BBQ snacks, fresh fruit, papaya salad, and sticky rice. Once you've stuffed yourself with delicious Thai goodies, explore the nearby side streets, weaving in between hidden Buddhist temples and small local communities. Your guide will point out some colorful Bangkok street art along the way.

Then, stop at the beautiful Holy Rosary Church (Kalawar Church) and admire the Western architecture before strolling along Talad Noi, one of Bangkok’s historic neighborhoods. Take in the various ethnic Chinese communities and admire the local urban artwork.

You’ll end the tour in River City, a riverside shopping center for art lovers. Snap postcard-perfect photos of the cityscape before ending the tour on a high note.

Enjoyed going through alleys to discover and try authentic Thai street food. Something as simple as Thai coffee tasted extraordinary from a small vendor by the road side. Our guide Tony was very accommodating and we learned a lot of food tips from him. For the art part of the tour, Tony brought us to an alley filled with colourful street art and photographs. We would never have found the place on our own. This personalised tour is highly recommended. Be adventurous!!

Nina was a great guide. She took us in the back alleys, where people live and work, not just on the beaten path. There was a lot of very beautiful street art and we saw a number of spectacular temples. We went into one where the monks chanted for us. At our tastings, and at other points along the way, she taught us the Thai name for the dish or snack. Everything we had was delicious. Unfortunately, a number of the places she had planned to take us were closed because it was the day before the Chinese new year. We could not go inside the Catholic Church, and several of the food stands were not open. Nina does know where to take the tour group, so we do recommend her. However, we suggest that in the future Get your Guide should not book tours on a holiday. That there were so many closures should not have been a surprise.
