Full description
Start the bike tour in the heart of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, the oldest part of the city. The beautiful square is the location of both the town hall and Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya (Government of Catalonia). Ride through the Gothic Quarter to the end of the famous Las Ramblas, where you will find the Old Port of Barcelona. After learning about its rich history from being built in the 1600's to the present day, you'll ride over to another area of the old city of Barcelona, the Raval neighborhood.  Continuing on through the lively Eixample neighborhood, arrive in Sant Antoni with its central daytime market and many bars and tapas restaurants. No evening in Barcelona is complete without tapas, so you'll take a break from riding here to visit a local tapas bar and sample some classic Spanish cuisine. Cost of food is not included, but you are welcome to get as much or little as you'd like. Now that you're recharged with tapas, travel to the Magic Fountain show. The fountain was the centerpiece of the 1929 International Expo and continues to be the location of many important city events. Your guide will make sure you arrive just in time so that you will get to see the illuminated fountain show with music and mesmerizing lights. Enjoy some Cava as the Magic Fountain show commences at just the right time, revelling in the sights and sounds of Barcelona at night. Once the show concludes, pedal your way back, and admire the old bullfighting ring, illuminated at night, and learn of its new purpose since Catalonia banned bullfighting in 2010. See Gaudí's famous Casa Batlló and its curvy, illuminated facade. This sits on La Manzana de la Discordia, a block of several modernist houses that compete for the spotlight here at the epicenter of modernism.

It was a really fun beautiful way to see the city. It was a small group of us. Just 4 people. We started down near the El Born section and rode the water front, to an area with some beautiful street art, to a pinxto bar (awesome food), to the magic fountain for the light show and had some cava, to casa Battlo and two other homes of famous architects and then finally to the old Roman ruins. We got a lot of information and the guide Álvaro was funny and very knowledgeable about Barcelona.

Exploring Barcelona by bike at night was super fun! The guide Alvaro passed on interesting information that you don't get on typical tours. The light show at the fountain was very nice. You should know how to ride a bike and be safe as the route goes right through Barcelona and the traffic is crazy at times. Tapas not included in the price.

Nice Event! But...

If everything would have gone as planned i am sure it would have been awesome! Sadly some Members of our group seemed not to be able to ride a bike and so it took us forever to get to the fountain... We almost missed the Magic fountain event. Only saw the last 5 minutes or so...
