Full description
Your guide will meet you at your hotel and you’ll head straight to Hoffman’s, Barcelona’s cooking school, to enjoy a croissant. On this full-day experience in Barcelona you can decide what to see and what you and your small group would like to do during the day. Typically the tour would dedicate the morning to experiencing the work of Antoni Gaudí, the bold and extravagant artist and architect who molded Barcelona. See the world's greatest house and the mosaic that changed the face of Barcelona. Admire Gaudi's work and the historic neighborhood that inspired him, as you listen to the insights of your local guide. You’ll also visit the shop of the trendy Catalan designer, Sita Murt. Next you’ll make your way to Barceloneta Beach and enjoy some tapas at a local bodega. For future reference, your guide will give you some tips on how to identify a good tapas bar! Afterwards, head to Barri Gòtic, the oldest part of Barcelona, by cab. Explore the medieval quarter, the Roman town, and the old Juderia Jewish Quarter. The dark narrow streets are a great place for spending the hottest hours of the day. Stop at Sant Felip Neri terrace for a refreshing glass of cool wine. Later you’ll take a ride on the metro to the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, where your guide will provide an overview of the site and make some recommendations on other things to see and do as you continue your holiday in Barcelona.
