Enjoy a self-guided tour of the Palau de la Música, one of Barcelona’s most emblematic buildings. Follow an informative brochure and venture deep into this jewel of Barcelona Modernism. Located in the heart of the city, just minutes from Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya, this concert hall is a temple of decorative refinements. Begin your tour in the foyer and continue to the grand staircase to marvel at the ornate flowers and flags that adorn it; be amazed by its detail, built from a range of materials including iron and glass. Next, visit the Lluís Millet Hall and glimpse the large balcony with columns that symbolise nature with flowers of every kind. Finally, be dazzled by an explosion of colors, shapes, and light as you enter the Concert Hall. From the second floor you will have the chance to admire the impressive light source up close. Oh my gosh. This worked out great. We had a wonderful surprise! Check the performance schedule and book your tour in the morning. You may be lucky enough to view an entire dress rehearsal like we did! All with the freedom of moving around, taking pictures & video!

This is a beautiful old music hall and a welcome respite from the very busy streets of Barcelona in the summer. The architecture is beautiful and while I visited, the organ played and some dancers were rehearsing. I would definitely come back to this attraction to view a concert or a guided tour. It was one of my favourite places in Barcelona.

Prebooked our tickets through Tiqets. When we arrived we had a lot of trouble downloading the audio guide. Both of us took 15-20mins to log into their internet to enable us to download the audio guide. I would definitely suggest downloading it prior to your tour. We were there slightly over an hour but only because of the difficulties we experienced. I would love to have attended a concert whilst we were there.
