From Punta Cana: Saona, Canto de la Playa in Small Group

2. From Punta Cana: Saona, Canto de la Playa in Small Group

Transport will drive you to Bayahibe, the starting point of the excursion, where you will embark on the fast boat. Let's go to Cotubanama National Park! A short stop in front of the Penon where an English-speaking guide will give you explanations about this cliff and the Taino natives, the first inhabitants of the island. You will also make a stop at the mangroves, which are trees growing directly in the sea water. First stop on the island of Saona, at the beach of Canto de la playa where you will spend 2h30 on this magic white sand beach surrounded by coconut trees. There you will have time to relax or to snorkel, whichever suits you best.... After these marvelous moments, you will get back on the fast boat to go to the village of Mano Juan for a Dominican lunch. Once done with lunch, let's take a cap and sun cream to visit the village of Mano Juan with the English speaking guide and get a glimpse of the local life (wooden house, anecdotes, local shops, national sports...). At the village you will also visit the typical turtle nursery, a project maintained by a local family. With the means at hand, they take care of the incubation of the eggs during the laying period and the release of the baby turtles into the sea. It is not 100% guaranteed to see hatchlings, it will depend on the season and the hatching cycle. Once the visit is over you will have a little time to take a nap at the water's edge or test your bargaining skills in the small local shops. To top it off, you will stop at the famous natural pool where you will be able to see the huge starfish (be careful, you can't touch them, we can only admire them and take pictures), have an aperitif in the turquoise Caribbean water and enjoy a wonderful moment. Come back to Bayahibe with beautiful memories. The departure of this excursion is planned around 9:00 am for a return around 5:00 pm. Maximum on board: 26 people

What people are saying about Bayahibe

All in all a great trip, you have to plan for a little waiting time when picking up the speedboat or be prepared for it, otherwise everything worked out great! We saw a starfish and the island of Saona is fantastically beautiful away from the bars, but there are many mosquitoes. Great food and drinks, party boat on the way back was awesome!

Hello everyone, the trip is definitely recommended. The process was well organized and structured. We were informed of the pick-up time one day before the excursion and this was also adhered to exactly. Then we took the motorboat towards Saona with a stopover at the natural pool. Then we went back by catamaran.

Picking up at the hotel worked smoothly, the tour guide was friendly and the boat trip there and back with the party boat was great and fun, including drinks. You had enough time on the island to swim and rest in peace, the food was ok too. All in all, recommended for the price

A great trip to a beautiful place! The crew on the boat was awesome, nothing was missing. Only the time on the beaches could be longer, but the maximum was gotten out of a day! Really recommended! :)

Everything was very nice... they complied with all the punctual service, the food was good... and the best thing was the price... Saona Island was a dream!!!
